Excellent location. I upgraded to a room with an estuary view and it was so worth it. The room was spacious and comfortable with neutral, relaxing decor. I also paid extra for breakfast and it was good.

A Busy Port Town with a Charming and Laid Back City Centre
The port town of Vigo is nestled off the pristine waters of Ria de Vigo and its famous Port of Vigo is the biggest and busiest fishing port in the world; However, beyond the port are the old narrow streets of the old town around Rua dos Cesteiros, and monuments such as Nosa Señora da Guía Shrine and Santa María Collegiate Church.
Vigo is home to many landmarks such as Galicia Sea Museum, Contemporary Museum of Art and the late 19th century Centro cultural Caixanova theatre. The streets are lined with bars, restaurants and cafés serving fresh seafood along with traditional Spanish and international cuisines.
The white-sandy beaches and Natural Park of the unspoilt Cíes Islands are a 45-minute boat ride from Estación Marítima. Popular areas in Vigo are America Square and the beach areas of Praia de Samil and Playa de Areas.
Vigo Train Station offers connections throughout the Galicia region, whilst Vigo Airport has direct flights to several international destinations.
Booking.com has a range of accommodation options to suite all budgets in Vigo and popular nearby cities such as Cangas de Morrazo and Nigrán.
Enough to do on a short break.
Vigo Uzaiz station is underneath a big new looking shopping/restaurant centre (VIALIA VIGO), with easy access to the bus station.
The new Halo Ascensor crosses the AP-9V main road, at a height of 50m and the lift drops you down just off The De Garcia Barbon. This saves a long walk around the streets (the old route).
It was a Saturday morning and there was an outdoor stage/dance area, which had a big samba class going on to loud music.
There are several brand new children play areas around here too.
Vigo is small enough to walk around but can test your fitness with steep hills and stairs around.
Vigo is mainly a port but has some beaches, if you travel further out.
From Vigo Urzaiz station, it takes 15 mins to get to Pontevedra ,which is a pleasant day trip, on the cast train.
Or take a little longer from the other station, nearer the port, Vigo Guixar, which is more local.
Just one top - DO NOT USE DOMINO's, WORST PIZZA EVER and expensive.
Plenty of Galician restaurants to try the local cuisine.

Location is very nice, especially during Christmas time.
Location is very nice, especially during Christmas time. Streets are decorated with Christmas lights everywhere. Lot of restaurants nearby. The big shopping mall across the streets ensure that you can buy almost anything you need. For the transport, taxi is safer then rented car. Traffic there is quite intensive during daytime.

Vigo is a a lovely City to visit, Old City has many excellent restaurants with quality seafood and pork in particular. Taxis are reasonably priced and it offers good train and bus services - Porto is only 2 hours by bus if you want to explore. Santiago de Compostela is a short train journey away.
The new transport interchange is pretty impressive with an integrated shopping mall, they are building an observation platform which will offer fantastic views of the city and estuary.

Vigo is a combination of old and new architecture, with all types of stores everywhere. The water view is beautiful as well as the terracotta rooftops. The city is very vibrant, even in the middle of the week; people are helpful. Some of the buildings are not maintained. It appears to be a pet and children friendly city based on the parks around. It is easy to get around, and there are walking escalators for some of the uphills.

Exploring the old town was lovely. It is a very pretty city.
Exploring the old town was lovely. It is a very pretty city. Although hilly! We travelled from England and found that it was very useful to have some basic understanding of Spanish as it does not appear Vigo is a hotspot for English speaking tourists. We spent a day visiting Ceis Island which was wonderful, definitely something worth doing. We then also took a car and went out of the city to do some hiking which was beautiful, and then visited some beaches on the way back to Vigo, near Oia, which again were stunning and worth the trip.
Well-located in the city centre. Liked the way you could leave pull up and leave your car outside the hotel and the staff parked it for you. Marcos, the concierge, was absolutely fantastic and made our stay in Vigo a real highlight of our trip to northern Spain and Portugal - provided ideas of places to visit and detailed itineraries. Visited the Cies Islands for the day which were absolutely beautiful.
Exceptional value for a 2 star hotel, clean and well maintained, staff were interested and knew the area well. Brilliant location near Vigo Guixar station but doesn’t have a train station transient feel. Excellent breakfast in adjacent cafe. Cannot fault this place, just really good and at an incredibly reasonable price. Our room was light filled and looked out on the Main Street but was quiet
Good modern hotel in Vigo. We stayed here on our Camino. Room and bathroom was nice and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is cafeteria on 1st floor, so you can have breakfast, it was very good for us before long walking day not to waste time to looking for place for breakfast, especially on Sunday morning. Recommend!
The location is very good. The bus from the airport stops very near the hotel and the train station and the port are both walking distance. The room was big and comfortable. Very clean. Staff was welcoming and helpful. It was very good value for money and would certainly recommend it.
We started our camino from Vigo. Stayed in your cozy hotel. We loved it. David at reception was super. He managed solve all our problems and answered all our questions. When we come back to Vigo, definitely will stay in your hotel. Thank you David for your hospitality and kindness.
I arrived in Vigo very tired and booked a hotel to sleep and relax. The location is excellent, the staff is polite. I liked the view from the balcony and the big bed. It was clean and comfortable. I was allowed to leave my bag for a couple of hours after checkout.
But..
Great location for us as we were just staying the one night and needed to get to the bus station quite early. It was an easy walk and the part of the city we saw was charming. The hotel staff were super helpful as well with directions and such.
Cozy apartment with excellent facilities
Bed was very comfortable for my liking (firm mattress)
Good shower with a large tank (many refurbished apartments in Spain have ridiculously small water tanks, this one was not the case)
Location was excellent in central Vigo close to the port. Highly reccomend the ferry to Cies Island for a great day trip. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly. Would recommend for a shirt stay.
I was in Vigo unexpectedly because my mother fell and injured herself seriously while walking the Camino. The staff were really lovely and supportive.
The food was really good. Wine lovely.
Modern, clean hotel with helpful staff. Located close to the port so good for trips to Isla de Cies and near to Vigo's old town which has lots of bars and restaurants
The hotel is very central, and size of the rooms are great, beds are comfy. Some of the rooms have view to the port (mine not). I would recomend for the stay in Vigo.
I stayed at this hotel while walking the Camino. It was a bit off the path, but I was interested to see Vigo so that was expected. I had a room with a balcony.
The location is the best you can get, close to the main plaza with the Xmas tree and the rest of the Xmas lights. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful to support our requests for our baby and dog. We felt really at ease while travelling with the whole family
