Every staff from the hotel was absolutely wonderful! My parents (seniors) were so happy with the choice to stay here. I had been communicating with the hotel days before arrival to help arrange my parents visit, and the hotel's manager and staff were so helpful. We asked and were recommended a tour guide by the hotel, and she was also wonderful and professional. Breakfast, location, service, quality, everything has exceeded our expectation. Thank you so much El Consul Mao - Hotel Boutique!

Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy.
Mahon is an easy going city. It is small and not too noisy. There is plenty to do and see. You can cover most areas on foot and there is a good bus service to other parts of Menorca. The harbour area is attractive with boat trips which are a great way to see the city and get an idea of its' history. It is also a very pleasant area to walk and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars both in the harbour area and in the centre of town. Menorca has lovely beaches and because it is a relatively small island it is easy enough to reach anywhere from Mahon

Mahon is an interesting town with a large harbour and many individual shops. There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants. The streets are clean and the main town centre is pedestrianised so is very easy to get around.

A good base to discover the rest of the island, I think that buses can get you to a fare number of places but as frequent visitors we invariably have a car waiting at the airport. Mahon is full of character, steeped in history. Boat trips available round the huge harbour.

Mahon port is a must, lovely to walk around and there are 2 lifts to take you from the port to the old town.
We love art galleries and museums and met some wonderful people.
Not a place for children really, Better for children on the west side of the Island.
Some really good restaurants Tap Can, La Opera and especially Perla!
The house is located in the center of a natural reserve, with immediate access to hiking trails, secluded beaches, and panoramic cliffside views. The house itself is full of a mix of art and artifacts, like striking modern paintings and ancient roman pottery pulled from the surrounding sea.
We would go back in a heartbeat. We felt perfectly relaxed in the natural menorcan wilderness, with nothing to disturb us but birdsong.
The location is central to Mahon, above a few minutes walk to town, and a 7minute walk to the port. The Hotel was excellent in every manner from quality, to service, the rooms, design but most importantly the friendliness and warmth of the staff. They went above and beyond to make the place feel like home. Can Alberti is the "Come as strangers, leave as friends" kind of place.
We described the Hotel as providing 'Peaceful Excellence' We had had breakfasts in the hotel before. They are brilliant and served with such gentle efficiency. The room and bathroom were also without fault, but it was the people who served us , from reception to maids who were fantastic. We would recommend this place to anyone going to Mahon
Staff are very kind and amazing and nothing was too much for them.
The breakast is worth every penny; for us it was amazing and definitely sets you up for the day.
Location for us was excellent and was a great base for us to experience and enjoy Mahon.
The hotel on a whole is lovely and has a great vibe to it.
Nicely located not too far from "downtown" Mahón and a very short walk from the boardwalk/harbor. Rooms are sparse, but spacious. The balcony would have had a great view if it hadn't been raining. Staff were extremely kind and communicative, especially when we thought we'd get in later than we actually did.
Ignasi is a wonderful host, he goes above and beyond. He's clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about Menorca, he recommended great places to go and restaurants/bars to visit. All the staff is lovely, they made me feel so welcome! Breakfast is delicious and varied. I can't wait to return!
We spent one night at the hotel and so didn’t have time to enjoy it as much as we should have. The location is perfect for a stay in Mahon. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the staff was incredibly friendly! An extra Bonus was the delicious smelling shampoo and shower gel….so nice!
The Location of Son Vida Villa was perfect, just where we wanted to be in Cala Llonga, Menorca, just 10 minutes outside Mahon and 14 minutes from the airport. Very easy to find. It had everything my wife and I needed for our 1 week self catering stay. A cute little two bedroom Villa.
Good value hotel, non descript from out side but easy to explore Mahon from here. Recommend taxi from airport. Situated in a maze of one way streets. Simple but tasty breakfast. Owner/Manager very helpful. He multi tasked throughout. Pleasant roof top area with panoramic views.
Excellent location, in the heart of Mahon, yet tucked away in a quiet side street. The decor throughout the hotel was fabulous. We were warmly greeted at reception and they were so informative and helpful with our onward travel plans.
The hotel is conveniently located from the airport. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and Jessie, the hostess, extremely helpful and friendly. We had a great time!
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel is very well located and has a bar which is a bonus. Overall good value and I would recommend you anyone staying in Mahon for 1 or 2 nights.
