Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal Conservation Area, only 2.7 km from the Arenal Volcano. The location close to the volcano was amazing. The swimming pool and heated jacuzzi were top notch, and accessing them through a hanging bridge was an awesome experience. The room was also very nice.

The air-conditioned rooms and villas at Los Lagos Spa & Resort Thermal Experience are spacious and comfortable and feature scenic views. All have cable TV, a minibar and safe. Villas have a kitchenette and lounge. The standard and superior rooms are set in different areas of the property. Iliked almost everything: location, facilities, room, pools etc. The only thing I would recommend is to give more options in breakfast. lack of vegetables and other healthy options was the only thing I didn’t like in this hotel

Each room features tiled floors and comes with a desk, coffee maker and cable TV. The private bathroom includes a hairdryer and shower. My first room was close to the road, a lot of noise. Manrique was very helpful in finding another room. Then I decided to stay an extra night and was upgraded to a room with a private thermal pool which was excellent.

Wow probably the best views during our stay in Costa Rica. We chose the upper floor and the volcano was in full view. It was amazing rain or shine. In other places during rain you feel like you are stuck in a small room with nothing to do but in this place we had amazing terrace and a massive room where we could read when it was raining and we didn't feel like we missed out. Breakfast was a short walk in a nearby property.

This 3-star hotel features free WiFi and a bar. The property is non-smoking and is located 43 km from Edgardo Baltodano Stadium. After a month in Costa Rica, this was one of our highlights. It is a beautiful, well kept property. We loved the main eating area and cabins. The chocolate tour was wonderful! We enjoyed the area and walked the trails- lots of birds! Even the gift shop was good - with reasonable prices!

Finca Luna is the perfect balance between environmentally friendly establishment and luxury and comfort. The nature (vegetation and animals from iguanas to sloths)around the hotel compound is amazing and gives lots of options to explore. The staff is wonderful and ready to help and support all your needs, including tours in the area. Our favorite was childrens eternal rainforest hike. The restaurant serves mostly food prepared with homegrown vegetables and fruits through regenerative farming. The accommodation we had was Casa Deluxe and it had everything you need. Swimmingpool is always accesible to relax, and it is cleaned with ozon, so no chlorine, which is fantastic. For practical matters, the internet through wifi worked fantastic (happy kids), and the cost of food was ok, but if you want to explore other restaurant options in the area, you need a car. Overall, Finca was the best place we have ever stayed. Hope to be back someday.

Mei Tai is a gorgeous property with hiking trails, beautiful jungle, and freshwater ponds. The casitas have everything needed for a perfect stay. We had a delicious patio breakfast each morning overlooking the rolling hills and ponds. Daria and Sydney were so friendly and accommodating. We loved our stay.

The mattresses are made of memory foam material and covered by 400 thread count linen. Hidden gem in la Fortuna! We got a room with a view of the volcano, it comes with balcony too so perfect for those early mornings where you sit outside with a cup of coffee. The place is spotless and we couldn’t find dust particles anywhere. The bed was super comfy and overall the room was decorated as if you are in a high-end hotel. It also came with FREE and absolutely delicious breakfast!!! The staff were so friendly and lovely. Overall highly recommend!!
