After being left with no shelter by another guesthouse (our original reservation) in 23:00 at night, because they didn't comply with the services it had claimed to offer, at 23:20 we made a super last minute reservation for the night in Berat Mozaik Hotel, and an adorable sir left his house in the middle of the night to come to the hotel, take us in, take care of us and restore our previously broken faith in the country's hospitality. There are no words to express our gratitude. The room was new-built, comfortable and clean, the sheets and towels were very clean and fresh (smelled wonderfully), the bathroom was equipped with everything we needed, the host was so kind and helpful, even that late in the night.

There are also plenty of places to park in front of the hotel. The owners are the most gracious and generous people that we have met on our trip. The breakfast was superb! We had cherry preserves that the wife of the hotel manager prepared herself, along with other traditional Albanian breakfast dishes. In fact, we had so much food, we wondered if we would need lunch. All the food was delicious, the room spectacular and the hosts and cook were so wonderful. I can’t say enough. This was by far the best stay that we had in Albania and will come back to this place every time we visit Berat.

The rooms have a wardrobe. It is a beautiful, historical building in the old town, stairs to the room, everything ist very, very clean. Very nice hosts, who organized a private monitored parking, he brought our car away, when WE arrived, costs for parking 2€/day. The breakfast was very good with fruits and homemade pancakes and other things and open for our special wishes. We had lovely 2 days there. Thank you.

Guva Mangalem Hotel Restaurant features air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Its a la carte restaurant serves Albanian and Italian specialities and offers a view over the old Gorica neighbourhood. marvellous location for excellent view, having a drink on the terrace is the best experience at Berat. Also in house restaurant is excellent, one good thing is after nice dinner, you don’t need to climb the steps back to the room.

Certain rooms at the property include a balcony with a mountain view. This property is immaculate and it is newly opened. Our room was spacious and the shared terrace was huge. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, loved the fig jam. The hosts were attentive and kind. It was in a great part of Gorica, in walking distance of all the major sightseeing spots in town. We would be happy to return any time.

Location was fantastic located right in the centre of town. Good WiFi, super cleann room and fantastic bathroom Do try Hanna pastry opposite as well, very nice cafe. I will stay here again in berat.

They were very helpful, kind and welcoming, you truly feel at home. The room is cozy, the whole apartment is super clean, we had everything we needed. The location is perfect, in the heart of the old town. The food was just amazing, 100% home made, asking for a dinner was a great idea, bcs we had one of the best dinners in all Albania and for sure the best Fergese. What we enjoyed as well were converstions with Luca about history, life, everything. Highly recomended!
