I really loved the ajinkan meditation and how the monk was kind and cheerful and pleasant. It was such a nice experience to learn something new and to have such a pleasant person that you can ask about meditation. It was so nice! The dinner was really fantastic and I was most pleasantly surprised how warm the room was because it was cold season.

Just incredible experience!! The monks were so warming and welcoming, they really made us feel at home. The whole experience was enlightening and to learn more about their faith and take part in the morning prayers was truly a unique experience!

Amazing experience. The staff was very polite, helpful, the bath is great. Food was very good, the room large and everything was clean.

Superb location, comfortable accommodation, and cultural activities opportunities including a tour of the Danjo Garan complex across from Saizenin (Japanese required) and guided meditation (English ok) for a small fee. Would happily stay again!

It was an amazing experience and it was a wonderful temple! We felt honoured we were allowed to stay in such a place. The dinner was surprisingly tasty even if it was vegetarian! We were there late January so be prepared for some seriously cold weather. The rooms and dining area had heating but outside it’s freezing! Maybe pack some heat pads or buy some from family mart, there is one very close! :)

We rented a wrong room type for two person and the staff was very understanding and helpful to change the room. The breakfast was delicious and the kitchen staff very nice. A lot of parking space.

The area was beutiful with some lovely walks. Great for a relaxing time. The host realy went above and beyond. I don't think there is a walkable shop but the hotel is also a restaurant.
