I liked everything! The location is amazing, secluded and calm but also has everything you need like food at the restaurant or 5 minutes away by car at any supermarket. I would definitely come again. Friends' groups, however, shall watch out for the showering situation 😂 it is more like a romantic getaway 😉 but I still had lots of fun with my friend there. Ah the Seilbahn is 5 minutes away aaand Hallstaat is about an hour, although I don't recommend leaving the heaven of this place and going to the touristic horror of Hallstaat.

The staff were exceptional friendly and helpful. They were flexible in accommodating my itinerary. The hotel was immaculately clean, recently renovated/remodeled, room on the top floor, back was spacious and comfortable with lots of natural lighting. Tastefully decorated. The hotel is perfectly located in the exact center of the charming town of St. Gilgen, five minutes by foot from everything. I was there for hiking, and the hotel was the perfect jumping off point. Breakfast, especially on the first morning when more people were staying there, was excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Only 15 min walk to the lake with a small river passing by the hotel backyard (nice water flow sound during the night) .. amazing Mountain view from the room's. balcony, great for wine and some cheese with a good conpany. Beautiful location, with a fabulous view from the balcony! Lovely sunbathing and swimming area, with bar and snacks in good weather. Very friendly and helpful staff. Although not high-end fittings, it was full of charm and was a lovely place to be. There was an honesty bar for when the lakeside bar was closed, so you could have a relaxing drink on the balcony. A good continental breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Would definitely recommend and would happily return.
