I liked that it was a boutique hotel and that the staff was very attentive. The hotel has 2 pools, a normal one and another one that was a cave before. Because it is a small hotel we actually had the pools for ourselves when we wanted to use them which increase privacy and the holiday feeling.

Tekit
Destino Mío Mayan Jungle Retreat offers a continental or American breakfast. At the accommodation you will find a restaurant serving Mexican cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. A spectacular property in the forests with: - gardens that are manicured just at the right level - its own cenotes (you can swim in one semi-open one, not sure about the other ones) - its own cave that you can visit with a (Spanish) guide - a mirador just like in the pictures (only open in the morning and evening, but I'm sure if you asked you could go up during the day) - a bonfire place near the tents - a spa for massages Everything is beautifully designed and so well thought through. A few notes: - When we were there in July, the place was very quiet, which added to the magic. - In my head, I had expected more jungle (could have probably known better with more research). The "jungle retreat" was less jungl-y than a number of places we had come from between Valladolid and Celestun. No howler monkeys, no big snakes, etc. (I don't think) However, we did see a grey fox (!), iguanas and lots of beautiful birds and butterflies. - Because I wanted a full jungle immersion experience, I had booked a tent - they have a lot of "windows" and I thought you would be closer to nature than in a concrete house. However, since we visited in July with 36° C and high humidity, we decided to move to a suite (with AC; the tents have fans only of course). They were absolutely gorgeous (a shower open to the sky! a whirpool! a daybed! two hammocks!) and because there weren't very loud jungle noises at night anyway, I don't think we actually missed out. - The restaurant was great. You can probably drive to Tekit (we didn't), but I'm not sure there are many decent alternative food options there, so you might be a bit limited. - We brought many bottles of water. Turns out this was unnecessary - you get water everywhere. - Communication works via WhatsApp; they were very responsive and helpful. - The staff happily drove elderly people around in buggies. - This is a place to go to for pure relaxation. - The Internet was no problem at all.

The Hotel: A beautiful property with stunning original architecture and decorative details—truly candy for the eyes! The magnificent traveler’s palm trees in the courtyard were absolutely striking.
Room: Very comfortable overall. Good a king-size bed, a spacious bathroom with enough amenities.
Quietness: Despite being on a busy street, the inside of the hotel felt completely insulated from the noise of traffic. Room is very quite ( without the AC on)
Location: Quite good. While the street itself isn’t particularly interesting, the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. The walk is safe, even at night.
Parking: A paid private parking lot was available at another property right next door , and the cost was quite reasonable.

The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. I liked all of the accommodation services, the location, the rooms, the restaurant food and the facility overall. we also felt very secured with the National Guard/army patrolling the place day and night. As soon as we got of the Mayan Train from Cancun an officer offered his guidance and walked us to the exit where the courtesy Shuttle from the hotel picked us up and dropped us at the hotel doors. This has been one of the best hotels I have experienced in Mexico and to top everything even the prices were low for the quality of services and place. Me and my wife felt like in a second Honey Moon we even extended our stay for a couple of nights. I strongly recommend the Tren Maya and their Hotels to all of my friends and relatives. We already have plans to go back with our children and grandchildren ASAP ! Claim your share of the good life in the jungle near the Chiche Itza Pyramids and all of the great nature in Cancun and Yucatan in Mexico.

The staff was truly amazing, very kind, helpful and gave us a lot of tips. We got a LOT for the money we paid. The room was clean and comfortable, an extra plus for the warm light instead of the usual cold. Good AC, good breakfast and a beautiful garden with a lot of space to relax (extra welcomed in the heat). The shared bathrooms and showers was not a problem, the other guests where nice. Great vibe. THANK YOU!
It's one of the coolest hotels I've been to. The place is like an oasis where you can truly relax - quiet, surrounded by trees and flowers, with plenty of attractions like an outdoor fish spa, swimming pool with hammocks and hot water caves. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms have a really cool, etnic design, are very spacious and include a nice terrace. I can definitely recommend this place in Valladolid.
The staff is super friendly and ready to help. They told us everything we need to know and do in Valladolid. The hotel is very comfortable, clean and has a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms very spacious. Very good value for the money. We would definitely come back again!
Overall everything was great, the staff is very nice and super reactive on Whatsapp, which we really appreciated. The bedroom was huge and fancy, and the shower was gigantic as well! We also enjoyed our bedroom to be very close to the terrace to take our breakfast outside. The cave swimming pool and the sauna are nice to relax and the common areas are very pretty.
Lovely pool, great breakfast (note: the served "hotcakes" are american pancakes), lots of space to sit and relax around the pool. Close to the main tourist spots, but still nice and quiet. We stayed during carnaval and had no noise complaints.
A very nice room with a working bath Free coffee, water and toiletries Spacious room The garden area was nice Very quiet and relaxing A free breakfast that was pretty good A free shuttle to Chichen Itza site
The hotel is awesome. I particularly enjoyed the food in the restaurant. The cochinita quesadillas were spectacular. The warm water in the cave was lovely too. And the spa services were affordable - we chose a massage and facial. The outdoor pool is quite big and it has hammocks and comfortable furniture to relax. We enjoyed the hotel so much in the evening that we didn't go out in town to walk around. The evening meditation at 8pm was quite unique also.
The house is a magical place and feels like an Oasis in Merida! The owners Sarah & George and all of their staff are lovely and always make you feel very welcome. Make sure to check-out their SPA and Wellbeing offerings before you go there - offering includes traditional mental health counseling/life coaching, meditation, yoga, massage, dance, indigenous, earthy wellness practices!
The grounds were vast and the staff lovely. Also only 20 minutes from Mérida city centre. It has as 2 pools, plus the man-made cenote and plenty of space to sit and relax. I also really enjoyed all the trees and greenery after being in the city for so long. At night, there were lots of lovely hanging lights making everywhere look pretty, although quite a few weren't working. Lovely massage and good communication from reception even prior to our stay.
