A buffet breakfast is available at the accommodation. At DoubleTree by Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort you will find a restaurant serving Seafood, local and international cuisine. Vegetarian, halal and vegan options can also be requested. This hotel was truly wonderful. The rooms were very nice and modernly furnished. We had a room with a small terrace, which was a really pleasant spot to sit and relax. There was also a beautiful outdoor pool with plenty of space to unwind, and the quality of the food was excellent.

Guests can enjoy a meal at the on-site family-friendly restaurant, which serves Chinese cuisine and also offers vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options. The guesthouse is close by the lake and by foot 10 min to the main road to have some food. The safari as really nice as well, but there is no extra guide if you prefer so. The driver was the guide. We booked the tour through the guesthouse. The room was perfect for a quick stay and the family was really nice and helped with everything. We also just got a juice after our safari from the host.

We recently stayed at a tented lodge for a safari night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for the whole family. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The tents were beautifully set up, blending comfort with the authentic charm of being right in the heart of nature. Falling asleep to the sounds of the wild was both thrilling and peaceful. The highlight for us was the safari itself—our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making every sighting special. We were lucky enough to spot a variety of wildlife, and the kids couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a treat, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Sharing stories around the fire after dinner made the evening even more memorable. Overall, this experience was everything we hoped for and more. Our family left with full hearts, happy memories, and a strong desire to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a magical blend of adventure, comfort, and nature.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. Free WiFi access is available in this self-catering accommodation. I think this was definitely the best value going around. We contacted Moon light by WhatsApp and they organized a car from Ella for us and we detoured past Diyaluma Falls (well worth it to dip), the accom is excellent, great aircon, hammocks. We ate lunch on arrival, dinner & lunch after the safari at the accom and it was plentiful & delicious. We left for the safari at 4:45 and got back at midday, so it’s enough time to do the half day I think. We saw a leopard running along a branch, elephants and many other animals. We then had a car (also organized by Moon light) ready after lunch to drive us to Aragum Bay. Couldn’t have been more seemless. With the park entry, jeep, meals, accom, and long transfers it still cost less than I saw some day tours advertised at. Highly recommend!

And the terrace views were super nice. The area was quiet and surrounded by nature. I recommend this place!

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. I recently stayed at Kingfisher Beach Resort, and it was an incredible experience! The resort is amazing, with clean and spotless rooms that are spacious and comfortable – plenty of room to relax. One of the highlights of our trip was a lovely beach BBQ that was very special to us. It created such a warm and unforgettable memory.A special mention to Shehan, who truly made our stay memorable. He’s a fantastic chef, skilled therapist, and an excellent guide. Thanks to him, we had the chance to see a leopard and a bear – such a thrilling experience.I highly recommend Kingfisher Beach Resort to everyone. Thank you, Shehan, for your hospitality. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. The hotel was very well designed and the amenities were excellent. Specific call out to the main restaurant where we had great service from the staff & chef (Jerome) and delicious meals catered to our taste. Being in the forest, it was a lovely experience to walk around the compound and wake up to the sight of animals within the vicinity (e.g. monkeys or squirrels in the morning). Would highly recommend this resort for visitors looking to do a safari at Yala National Park.

Located in the deep south of Sri Lanka, Chena Huts is just 5-minute away from Yala National Park. It is designed to echo the local architecture harmonizing with the jungle environment. Gorgeous location tucked away on a private chunk of land connected to Yala park. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make sure you are safe and have everything you need. I can’t say enough about the food! We only stayed for one night as we were moving quickly between locations while there, but should have booked minimum 2 nights. Would be perfect location for a honeymoon. Amenities are out of this world. Our guide for the safari was very informative and easy to chat with. I was happy to hear that the company provides the guides who can explain the animals in English, but hire jeeps and drivers from the local villages to distribute the benefits of the tourism dollars around. Would 100% stay again and highly recommend.
