This cottage was absolutely stunning, very clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, air fryer, coffee machine etc. Hot tub and sauna was so relaxing.
Lovely room. Peaceful, clean and comfy. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. Lovely breakfast with local produce Relaxed atmosphere with nice communal areas. Hot tub extra added bonus. Good location. Lots of little places to explore near by
Nice and relaxing At the swimming pool and spa and a good location to break away from traffic
Staff were courteous and informative. Rooms and bathroom were spacious. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Elemis products were a nice touch. And very quiet, no doors slamming, no loud pings from the elevator which seems to be normal in most hotel. Another bonus point is the still and sparkling water fountain dotted around the hotel, such a good idea - should have it in every hotel. Pool was lovely size and perfect temperature, with steam room and sauna. Buffet breakfast was nice, not a huge selection but adequate.
I liked it here, even though the reviews werent great it was a nice place to stay, better than I expected. The staff were great and on several occasions really helpful. It was immaculately clean, tidy, warm and quiet. The spa area was nice, I didn't have any treatments but the pool, sauna and steam room were clean and very relaxing. The dinner and breakfast were great although, at an add on if £22, I do not know why they charge another £4 add on for smashed avocado and poached egg on toast....£26 for egg and avocado....I think not.
The food was the best part, although the menu was very out there, if you are fussy then probably not the best for choice but really good quality food, I had the duck was amazing. I actually really enjoyed the breakfast and I’m not a fan of a fried breakfast. I also liked the spa and that it had a hot tub.
If I could give 11 or 12 out of 10 I would! This place is idyllic. The lodge is in a very rural location but if, like us, you are looking for a relaxing break with great facilities and a hint of luxury this is perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean (including yhe hot tub) and the views are lovely.
Enjoyed the spa leisure facilities only downside no hot tub, but the swimming pool and steam and sauna were good . High tea was lovely Breakfast was a great selection of food The staff were lovely. Right through hotel
