Garden Villa Talalla is a beautiful little hotel close to a nice section of the beach of Talalla. Gaby and her team are very welcoming and made our stay most enjoyable. We loved the breakfast served in the patio adjacent to the pool. Highly recommend to stay at Garden Villa.

The very quiet Gardens, the lovely breakfasts, beautiful empty beach, lovely pool and courteous attentive staff. We had a gorgeous room with an out door,roll top bath. If you're looking for a quiet beach, this will hit the spot. The waves are strong so probably best for confident swimmers though you won't have to be an Olympian! The main house is also gorgeous with an airy colonial vibe. Evening meals can be taken at the beach restaurant over the road ( not a busy road). The place is gated with a 24hour watch for the security minded. Various swings, hammocks and board games dotted around. Peacocks, bee-eaters, monitor lizards and chipmunks abound. Heard a Coppersmith Barbet but didn't see it. Fruit bats fly over at sunset. Heaven!

Our family has an amazing 7 night stay here and loved it. We paid a little more to get a little more and were still pleasantly surprised by how luxurious our apartment was - nicely decorated, surrounded by jungle and verdant gardens, helpful friendly staff, location perfect. Has an outside drying area so beautiful rooms not strewn with dripping surfing clothes. Even the price can’t be faulted as a 4 person apartment worked out cheaper than alternatives where we would have needed 2 rooms… plus the kids option was bunk beds so no squabbling in a shared double bed. Loved it. would stay again.

Malinda is a beautiful host and took us to a lovely point to see the sunset. The hostel is 5 mins walk from dikwella and 5 mins walk from hiriketiya beach, but still nice and peaceful. The beds were comfy and everyone had a fan which was lovely. They have a washing machine you can use for 500rupee and a kitchen if you’d like to prepare your own food. We loved this hostel!
