The attention to detail to create a historical immersion into the past was incredible. All staff were passionate about history, archaeology, music & were very helpful & friendly. This was a truly unique & unforgettable experience. The underground pool area exceeds expectations looking much larger than the photos & it is such a peaceful escape from the heat.

Our room was very spacious and the terrace was wonderful. Location was great, in the heart of the historic center. Staff at the reception, Ivana, Betty and Leonardo were so, so, nice and helpful with information and all we needed. Mario was an unforgetable help with our 2 suitcases! Alina was a wonderful host – extremely friendly and welcoming. She greeted us warmly, showed us around the rooms, and explained the key sights on a map. The location is perfect, right in the historic center. You can drive up to Duomo Square to drop off your luggage, and then park in one of the nearby garages. Probably the best room during our entire trip in Italy. The host was very enthusiastic and kind, he introduced the history and geology of Matera to us. The reception is above a Palombaro lungo, which they keep it and tour it. The host gave us a map and a list that recommended to us where we can visit and enjoy the food, which is very useful. The room was large and comfortable, located in the middle of the Sassi, with convenient transportation to any place. You can store your luggage after you check out, really helpful. It is sad for us that we only stayed one night in Matera, I will definitely come here again and stay at Piano Piano room without a doubt. Please don't miss such a great  B&B.

We loved the luxury feel of the hotel and it was an amazing base for a few days to explore Matera. The staff were exceptional, especially Dino and Mary. Breakfast was superb. The spa was stunning. To stay in a cave hotel was really unique and this one was so beautifully designed. Thanks for a great stay.

The spa was amazing and very relaxing after a day walking around the Sassi. The rooms were really unique, spacious, and cool with comfortable beds. We had a very nice jacuzzi bath with coloured lighting and also in the shower. We stayed in the dependence suite but it wasn't onerous to walk the short distance for breakfast which was very nice too.
