The guesthouse was newly renovated & everything like new. We booked 4pax stay & the rooms condition is excellent. The staff service is good. We love it very much the onsen facility on this guesthouse. Breakfast provided were excellent. Nevertheless, this guesthouse is highly recommend during your visit to Kusatsu Onsen.

There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Guests can use the sauna and the hot spring bath, or enjoy garden views. One of the best stay in my life! Room is big, clean and quiet, typical Japanese style. Breakfast was awesome, and the onsen was exceptional. Just locate at the entrance of the Sainokawara Park, and just a few minutes walk from the Yubatake and the Otaki no yu Onsen. Mrs Miki is soooo nice! Each accommodation at the 4-star ryokan has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath and an open-air bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Amazing place, from pick up at the station until we left / everything was perfect! All the staff were exemplary, catering to all our needs. The dinner was worthy of Michelin imo, grande course with so many options. The breakfast too and it snowed so everything was beautiful, the views 😍 We had private onsen room and the room was huge, steeped in tradition and the onsen was lushhhh especially when you open the door the combo of heat and cold! will be back again, recommended!

Gozanoyu, a hot springs bath facility is a 2-minute walk away while Ohtakinoyu is a 7-minute walk from the property. Sainokawara open-air bath is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the property. Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort is 1.1 km from the property. This was one of my favourite stays during my trip to Japan! Our twin room was cosy, comfortable and so clean. The beds were the comfiest we had in Japan; I had the most relaxing sleep while staying here. We absolutely loved the breakfast we had, and everyone at the hotel was so kind and friendly. Their hospitality was the highlight of the trip! We stayed two nights and the chef made us a different meal each morning, and took us through the dishes as he brought them to us, and we were given delicious welcome sweets and matcha when we arrived. The breakfast room was so cosy with a fireplace and free coffee and tea. The location is excellent and easy to find; it was only a couple of minutes walk to the bus terminal and to the Yubatake, which is where most of the shops and restaurants are located. The four private onsen are also wonderful. We got to try out two, and we never found that we had to wait or miss out on using one of them when we wanted to. I loved the little baskets containing towels, pyjamas and toiletries that we were given. There are plenty of toiletries available in each of the onsen, and the pyjamas were so comfortable I wish I could have brought a pair home!

A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. The Houshi Onsen Chojukan is a magical place that offers scenic views and beautiful walking trails in the surrounding area. The staff members are incredibly lovely and truly elevated our stay there. The food was amazing, and we couldn't get enough of the onsens.

Kusatsu International Ski Area is 1.5 km away.The ryokan is 11 km from Haneo Train Station, and 7 km from Sanroku Ropeway Station. Nikko-ji Temple is about a 5-minute walk away.

The hotel offers ski storage and luggage storage. A hot-spring bath can be reserved for private use, for a fee. An authentic Japanese breakfast is served. The staff was the most outstanding, polite staff I've ever had the plesaure to be treated with. This is what Japanese hospitality is like. I truly respect it. The rooms were big enough and very clean. The hotel in general was very well kept and the Japanese astethic was great. We also stayed in a private Onsen of the hotel for an additional charge, which was totally worth it. It was an outside Onsen and it was snowing - truly romantic. The price for value is excellent and the location is great too. Just a 3 minute walk to the city center.
