We loved to stay at "Posada Don Julio". The couple who owned it was so nice and friendly. Our room was clean, big and we loved to chill at our balkony right at the waterside. It feels like living in a boathouse. We heard our neighbours from above walking, which didn't disturbed us at all. The view is amazing and you can even see the sunrise in the morning as well. It was always easy to go by boat to Flores. Even when we had to be there early for our trip to Tikal "Julio" the Host ordered a boat for us. There is a well equiped outdoor kitchen, fridge and some nice chairs to chillout in the backyard. Everything is very clean. We would always come back to this cozy, sweet place.

We just had the best time there. Probably the best apartment we had so far on our current travels. The hostess is such a lovely lady and help us out with everything, she even did our washing and offered us to help with booking tours. Everyone travelling to Flores we would absolutely recommend the stay at Ximel House! The house is also right next to the lake, Lanchas right infront of your front door.

We had a very good stay in the city centre of Flores and we enjoyed sleeping at Casa Maya Itza! We arrived very early with the night bus coming from Guatemala city and we were welcome at 6am and could stay in the common area to wait until the checkin. A fantastic experience, on the north shore of Peten Itza. It was nice to be close to Flores, without being on the island itself. The room was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the facilities were great overall!

From start to finish our hosts Milvia Pineda and Dethlev Cordts had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Fresh coffee, water, washing facilities, kitchen utensils, travel wash were all on hand. Great balcony area with stunning views. They had thought of everything. We decided to stay an extra day as it was so nice! Close to Tikal without the hustle and bustle of Flores. Made us feel like part of the family. On our last night the ladies cooked us fresh fish dinner with a bottle of wine. Great walk nearby at the Biotope. Can't recommend enough! There is a walk up a little hill to get there so bear this in mind! Well worth it for the sunsets swinging in the hammock! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ladies!
