Lovely city. Impressive main square and very impressive cathedral; fairly compact. Old town great: loads of eateries - specially down Franco St but many elsewhere. Finding tourist information office needs a little determination but very helpful when you succeed. Many good tours reasonably priced -especially Ria Basis and also Finisterre tour. You can easily get to La Coruña by train on your own but turn up a bit early because there may be a few security checks. Santiago de Compostela is a nice place to visit but way more crowded than I anticipated. Suggest pre booking tickets to things you want to see. The cathedral and museum was wonderful. Also, suggest reviewing restaurant options and make reservations early for popular places. And pre-arrange a taxi two days prior to airport departure. If arriving by bus also pre-arrange a taxi.

We enjoyed visiting the cathedral and the surrounding old town. Also seeing the steady stream of pilgrims arriving elated at the main square in front of the cathedral. We used the second bedroom to store our luggage. We appreciated the washing machine. The kitchen is nicely outfitted but we just used the refrigerator. Lots of windows and daylight. The space was good for the two of us - room to spread out. The location was excellent - we were able to walk to everything. We did have a car and there was a parking garage just a few minutes away. All very convenient.
