Japanese-style rooms feature a tatami (woven mat) floor and shoji sliding paper screens. Some rooms offer tranquil views of the Seto Inland Sea. They are fitted with an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and traditional futon beds. An en suite bathroom and yukata robes are provided. I really enjoyed my stay and I absolutely loved the sea views, the dinner and breakfast meals, the kind staff and overall the experience of a traditional Japanese ryokan, sleeping on the tatami floor etc. I stayed one night only but I was very pleased.

Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on the tatami (woven mat) floor. The room was big and confortable, the bathroom was amazing. The public bathroom is great and tattoo friendly. The view from the room is on the floating Tori and it was great. The staff is nice. They picked us up straight from the harbor you just need to ask.

It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. The BEST! The spacious ryokan is equipped with 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a bidet, slippers and a washing machine. The ryokan offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. I highly recommend this accommodation. It's absolutely stunning, our only regret was not staying longer than a night, you really want a minimum of 2 to make the most of it. We will definitely be coming back one day 😊

Traditional multi-course meals are served for dinner and a Japanese set menu for breakfast. Japanese-style hotel Mizuhasou specialises in fresh seafood and exquisitely prepared local seasonal dishes. Meals are served at the dining room. We really loved the room and the baths that they had! It was a good location for the long hike around the island through the mountain and close to a garden! Would definitely recommend the stay to anyone wanting to overnight in Miyajima!

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Rooms in the Annex include a private bathroom with a bath and toilet, while rooms in the historical Main Building and Cottage Annex have shared bathrooms and toilets. Conveniently and calm location. The food was exceptional and a highlight of our stay. After visiting the island, the onsen offers a good chance to relax.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. Beautiful property, excellent staff AND amazing dinner. Just incredible.
