We really appreciated getting walked through the onsen etiquette and what to know for our stay in general when we checked in. The onsen was so relaxing including different pools and sauna and liked that the men and women switch each day and they have long hours so got to experience both. Loved the yukatas! Recommend getting a massage and including food.

The staff is very friendly and also very supportive so if you need anything they will help you. Breakfast was decent but quite limited. This hotel also has very convenient location.

Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. If you want to live the true Japanese experience this is the place. Both the town and Morizuya are amazing. It felt so good after the crazy life in Tokyo! Morizuya is run by a family and you actually feel like home. They are always helpful and always kind. I will make sure to visit them again next time I’m in Japan

Rooms feature tatami-mat flooring, comfortable futon bedding and paper sliding screens. They are fitted with an LCD TV and a safe. Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. The food was excellent. And the staff was really nice

Standing beside the Taki River, it features outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional in-room meals and is a 5-minute walk from Arima Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have traditional futon bedding and a minibar. The service is very good 👍 appreciate the receptionist help to book ENT clinic for one of our friends, especially we are not fluent in Japanese.

This is a truly authentic Edo-period style ryokan, with a serene and cozy atmosphere that beautifully preserves Japanese tradition. Everything—from the interiors to the hot baths—radiates a deep respect for cultural heritage. I want to especially thank the staff. I accidentally left a valuable piece of jewelry in the bath and had nearly accepted that it was lost. But the staff not only found it—they contacted me and kindly mailed it to my hotel in Tokyo. I was genuinely touched by their honesty, care, and attention. This place became more than just accommodation—it became a special memory of my journey in Japan. I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly Japanese experience and heartfelt hospitality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The breakfast service was a highlight of our stay! The beautiful decor, authentic experience with the irori bbq made in front of you was incredible. Everything was delicious, with strong attention to detail giving you a humble luxury that feels typically Japanese. The room was simply gorgeous and the bed incredibly comfortable. The complementary items (late night soba, stocked fridge) made it even more special and intentional.
