The hotel was great located, clean and in excellent conditions. 8min walking from the bus station, 5 min walking to the centre and 5min walking to the forest. The staff was super friendly and always helpful.

More then 500 years onsen was first esperience in my life also we enjoyed first time private onsen with my husband .We had breakfast and diner served in room and it was unforgettable , especially egg cooked in onsen! The location is quiet and with perfect picturesque views of the mountains from the onsen. The staff are really nice and accommodating, even though we don't speak japanese. The food is amazing and at the same level of a fine dining restaurant every breakfast and dinner. Special thanks to Chinoki who served us everyday in English and helped us enjoy our meals everyday.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Free private parking is available on site and free WiFi is available in all guest rooms.

Guests who check-in before 18:00 will receive complimentary welcome sweets. Every room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. Location, comfort, and service were all excellent. The Ryokan was equipped with very good facilities. Private onsens were available as well, although you need to take turns to use one of the 4 shower rooms.

This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and luggage storage space. The ryokan features family rooms. The food we had during our stay was beyond my expectations. I can be picky sometimes so I thought there would be a couple things I wouldn't eat but I devoured it all. Every single dish was so delicious and I still think about my meals there. We stayed in the kashotei and our room was clean and spacious. We were also given a yukata and a set of pajamas, along with baskets and towels for the onsen. I was glad to have different options. Since we stayed in the kashotei, we were allowed access to a lounge in the sanso. We definitely took advantage of the free ice cream but they also had coffee, tea, and cookies stocked up. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The waters were healing and I loved being able to soak in the outdoor onsen in the rain. It was magical.
