Really nice and relaxing place! Perfect location for exploring Unzen. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The food was amazing, but there was too much food and my partner and I couldn't finish everything. They had a nice variety of onsens, both private and public. There is plenty of private parking for the hotel just around the corner (after making the first left). I can't speak Japanese, but the staff was very friendly and patient with us! We used Google translate to translate the menu and paperwork. Thank you so much to the friendly staff, I definitely want to stay here again!

A beautiful busride from Nagasaki brought us to Unzen. A few steps from the busstop is the lovely old Ryokan. The location is perfect for the visit of the hot spring boardwalk (beautiful sight also at night), restaurants and the only grocery, departure for walks. Supper is an impressive and delicious 19 items affair. Our tatami room was spacious and beautiful, the futon made up in traditional style. Fresh yukatas (cotton "kimono") and towels daily. A good indoor and outdoor bath at the ryokan. We loved the experience and will gladly come back. Maybe in winter or when the many azalea are blooming

Thank you so much for Ohyama Naho sang, our room manager. It was such a polite reception that it became a memorable trip for the rest of my life. I really want to see you again. The ryokan and crab dishes that smelled like the sea were the icing on the cake. It was a lovely place.

Extremely clean. Old style hotel. Great room and very good size with towels and yukata if you need. Hot tea and water provided. We enjoyed the breakfast. Japanese style but not too overwhelming. Close to unzen centre ad there are restaurants for evening food there and plenty onsens

Room was spacious and comfortable, with own private onsen. They offered different patterned yukata for us to choose! We ordered dinner and breakfast and they offered the best meals we had to-date fr hotel/ ryokan. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Free coffee / tea at lobby were a bonus.

Very good, affordable option in Unzen. The facilities are very clean, the room is traditional with futon and yukata, and the bath is nice. The pension does not have outdoor bath but there are many public baths just a few minutes away. The host is a very welcoming old lady, she prepares nice typical Japanese breakfast. Thank you! 😊🙏

Excellent modern ryokan with very hospitable staff and amazing fresh and high quality food. We were served by the owner and his wife who were humble and friendly people. A family of 4, we stayed 2 nights in a room with private onsen. The room was modern, clean and the fact that we had a private onsen to ourselves was a winner. Highly recommend this hotel.

We loved the kaiseki dinner and beautiful breakfast served here as part of the ryokan experience. The onsen here have a number of options both indoor and outdoor. Staff were helpful although not much English was spoken.
