It's just about within walking distance of the Yokoyama trail area if you're up for a bit of hiking.

Boasting 2 restaurants, a café and a bar, all with magnificent ocean views, Toba International Hotel is conveniently located just a 4-minute shuttle ride away from Toba Train Station. Free WiFi is available at public areas while free wired internet is available in all guest rooms. This hotel is amazing. The rooms are huge and so comfortable, the staff exceptional and the breakfast buffet had a huge selection of Western and Japanese options. The view from the outdoor lounge is incredible. We got up to watch the sunrise from the outdoor area and the staff provided the guests (there were about 10-12 of us) with coffee while we enjoyed the changing colours. There is a lot of history here as the Emperor stays here and Queen Elizabeth did as well. It’s lovely to see they celebrate this with their displays.
