Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. Xantha is great for two reasons: the stunning view of the Pagasetic Gulf, the mountains and Volos; and the really wonderful lady who is now running the place (and who also speaks very good English). One should take into account that the road up is steep, narrow and at some places winding, not an easy one, and it's best to have a good engine, but it's well worth it for the view from your little balcony and the friendliness and generosity of the hostess: who not only invited me to eat as many of the ripe figs from the trees as I possibly could, but even paid my bill with the dinner delivery man (you can order food up) since I was in the shower!... As well as your own balcony, there's also a verandah off the drawing room with its own view of the Gulf, and the outside patio sitting area is especially nice. There's an open bar in the main drawing room of the hotel where you can make yourself herb tea from a varied selection, or of course coffee. So unless you would find the drive up difficult, Xantha is very highly recommended!

Studios at Kala Nera Panorama feature a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a balcony. There is a kitchenette with a refrigerator, cooking hobs and kitchenware. Each private bathroom comes with a shower and free toiletries. We stayed for a short time but we enjoyed every second, the host was friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and the beach is less then 2 minutes walk. There are a few great taverns down the beach and the nearby villages are lovely as well

Just 30 metres from the beaches of Parisena and Horefto, To Mpalkoni is traditionally built according to the local Pelion architecture. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with Aegean Sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The location is awesome. It is right above the Parisena's beach. It is about 30 meters above the beach, and it has stairs down to the shore. The house is very nice, the staff friendly. The rooms are cleaned on daily basis, so everything is fine.

Located in Chorefto, 700 metres from Chorefto Beach, To Limanaki features rooms with sea views and free WiFi. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. What we liked: the helpful staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, the beautiful view from our room, great value for money and possibility to park car near hotel. Tips for other travelers: instead of the local Litochoro beach, we recommend Agii Saranda. Don’t go there by car—walk instead! It really takes just 15–20 minutes through the olive grove from the neighboring hotel. Ask the staff—they’ll gladly explain the way. Also, don’t look for places to eat in the nearby villages—Litochoro has enough options for every taste, and prices are reasonable.

Located in the scenic village of Makrinitsa, Hotel Adam features traditional accommodation with views of the Pagasetic Gulf or Pelio Mountains. Guests can relax at the living room with the fireplace or at the cobbled courtyard, while a café is also featured on site. It was vintage, but modern and functionall. The staff were helpful, breakfast excellent.

A buffet breakfast enriched with traditional flavours is served daily at the dining area. Coffee, drinks and light meals can also be enjoyed at the relaxing setting of the bar throughout the day. Beautiful location, super friendly people and delicious breakfast! The room was spacious and clean!
