This place is just great. Very simply but you feel like home. Very well equipped with a good kitchenette. Very quiet. The beds are comfortable and we like the simple and warm decoration. Highly recommended.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. You could view the aurora here if the skies are clear enough. A nice place for a night’s stopover in Selfoss.

Despite what the size of the cottage seemed to offer, it had everything we needed for our two-night stay. Clean, warm and cozy, provided with fridge, electric kettle, stove, crockery and basic kitchenware enough to make supper, very comfortable bed and linen, free wifi and free parking at the door. Very quiet zone, quite close to supermarkets and near to Selfoss center. Hosts at reception were very nice and welcoming, super easy check-in and check-out. We had a lovely stay at Gesthus Selfoss, absolutely recommend it.

Situated by River Ölfus in Selfoss, Hotel Selfoss has a spa area, which features a sauna, a steam room and hot water tub. WiFi is free.

It’s my second visit as I loved it so much! The location is amazing and great for day trips out. The vibe is very relaxed you almost feel like you have the hotel to yourself at times. People come and go a lot when off adventuring so it’s not ever that busy except at breakfast and dinner, but that’s not unpleasant at all. The staff are brilliant especially the restaurant team who were so welcoming and helpful they really enhanced our stay. Lastly the quality of the food is sublime! Every dish is exquisite you can’t go wrong with any choice, some of the best food I’ve ever experienced.

Peacefully situated by Lake Villingarholt, Vatnsholt Bed & Breakfast is 16 km from Selfoss town centre. Impressive mountain views are featured.
