We recently had the pleasure of staying at Finca Campestre La Adelita, and it was genuinely one of the most heartwarming experiences we’ve had. The owner, Sonia, is an absolute gem—she welcomes you like you’re part of her family, which makes the whole experience feel incredibly homely. On the evening we arrived, Sonia hosted a little cheese and wine gathering for all the guests, and we spent the evening chatting in her sitting room, feeling utterly at home. She even gave us a brand new bedroom—it was the first time anyone had stayed in it—and it was absolutely lovely. The finca itself is a charming, traditional Colombian farmhouse, family-run, and full of character. Sonia makes her own cheese and butter, and breakfast is a homemade feast with fresh ingredients straight from the farm. You’ll find hens, goats, horses, parrots, and even a cow on the finca, all adding to that warm, rustic atmosphere. It’s a perfect place if you’re looking for a genuine, down-to-earth, and utterly charming Colombian experience. We couldn’t have felt more looked after or more at home, and I can’t recommend it enough if you want a cosy, farm-style stay with a truly personal touch.

The place is absolutely amazing. Not only it’s spectacular but the staff is so nice, they helped us with everything we needed and gave us great recommendations for the things we wanted to do. Excellent hotel and location close to Salento and Valle de Cócora. We stayed two nights and had a great time. The hotel is an old finca with very nice accommodations and very charming house. Staff is beyond helpful and kind—special thanks to Sebastian, who’s such a caring, capable and fun guy, who btw speaks fluent English and explained us everything in great detail and answered all of our questions. Food is very good and affordable. Lots of friendly animals! Cute cats, a lovely dog, lots of cows and some horses. The room is elatively small but cozy and has a small fridge, stacked with various drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). There’s a small space heater that’s really useful during the chilly nights. Valle de Cocora is only a few km away. Incredibly calm, relaxing and quiet place. We wish there were a few more shelves or a chest of drawers to put clothes on/in, though, as well as a hanger or something to dry the towels there. Coffee & tea available all day long. Many different activities are offered, e.g. horseback riding, hiking, etc. Sebastian arranged for as a horses with a guide in the same day we came and I recommend that way of seeing the countryside and the waterfall. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Can’t recommend enough.

The hotel is very close to the center while also offering a lot of tranquility and a beautiful view to the mountains. The staff members were excellent, all very kind and helpful. The bedrooms were comfy and clean. I planned to stay 2 nights and extended to 3 as I loved Salento and was very happy with the hotel!
