The staff were amazing! Mi at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed here for one night before our trek and they let us keep our bags there. When we came back to pick up our bags they gave us hot tea, let us use the hot showers and towels to change and gave us water and a snack for the trip back to Hanoi. Customer service was above and beyond. We treated ourselves to a full body massage the night before our trek and it was amazing. Location is just outside of the town but a nice stroll and the views are stunning! Customer service was amazing.

Mountain Queen makes you feel at home. The hotel is central, the room was clean, amazing breakfast, we left our luggage at the reception and we took a shower before to take a night bus. The staff here are spectacular and friendly. They helped us book any tours and trips we wanted, assisted with transportation back to HaNoi and gave us tips and advice about Sapa. The room was clean. The bed comfortable and the shower was good. The hotel is adjacent to the busier area of downtown Sapa so access was easy while the noise level was minimal. It is a 2 minute walk to the Sapa station to Fansipan and there are excellent restaurants nearby....oh, and the included breakfast was great with lots of choice. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is brilliant - Nice a quaint yet has all the facilities and luxuries. The staff were amazing and managed to arrange a private cooking class with Sous Chef Mung. Was an amazing experience and Mung showed me the market and how to cook 4 traditional dishes (he then served it to me in the restaurant. Highlight of my trip and great to see such an experienced chef go about his business. Would 100% recommend and will come back again.

Great location with a beautiful view to the valley. Very relaxing atmosphere to wind down. Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The best part was the food, with fresh vegetables from the garden and outstanding flavours. One of the best restaurants I ever tried in Vietnam.

The best part being in Sa Pa is the trip to Mount Fansipan.

The best part being in Sa Pa is the trip to Mount Fansipan. We came in October and it was foggy the whole time. We did not see the view of the clouds because we were in the clouds I would say. It was still an amazing experience to reach the 'roof of Indochina' - twas mystical and spiritual for me. I was kind of emotional when the National Anthem of Vietnam was played during the flag raising at the summit. of all the restos we ate, we love Cozy Restaurant near our hotel. The flavors of the food were just right for us.

Lao Cai is a frontier town and as such, has a quite quirky feel to it. There is not a whole lot to do per se, apart from visiting a couple of pagodas. I do like the vibe there and there is some really good Vietnamese food available.

Very difficult to find your way there, all homestay/hotel...

Very difficult to find your way there, all homestay/hotel owners refuse to provide information and collaborate only with specific companies. English guides limited but a guide named Thao made our stay a nightmare. She was trying to push lunch and other side services, once she realized we didn’t want that, she stopped any guiding and intentionally destroyed half of one day and the whole second day by acting simply as a side person on the trip, not providing absolutely anything. Totally unprofessional and even verbally rude and sarcastic. Avoid at all costs!

We loved Sapa because we had the MOST amazing guide. Her name was Thuy and we reached her through her Whatsapp 84 123 846 2416. Over the course of three days we learned so much from her about the plants, local ethnic people, and more than I can say. If you go to Sapa, you should hire her for sure!!

Mountainous area famous for plum.

Mountainous area famous for plum. It's called the white valley because during the spring the whole area is covered by plum flowers. So it's best to visit in early January. Otherwise, summer is a good time for plum picking. I had an enjoyable experience picking plum myself and brought lots of them home. I was lucky to visit during the weekends when they had annual horse racing competition. Really memorable. They also have weekly Hmong flea market on Sunday, you can eat local food and see ethnic people trading. Riding motorbike and looking at the mountain was fairly enough for me. You definitely should eat at Sa Mu restaurant. The food was so good that we went there twice.

Trekking Sapa's guide Ly accompanied us on a 3 day trek through the mountain villages and at two lhomestays with local families. An amazing, authentic experience that has given us so many great memories. Highly recommend! Food and accomodation in Sapa before and after were great, town is very easy to walk around with cool lights around the lake and the many restaurants.
