Located in the village of Jambiani, just a hundred meters from the sea, it is a blend of modern architecture and African spirit.
I stayed for two days with my family in the Deluxe Villa, a villa equipped with every comfort, including free satellite TV.
The staff was fantastic, the food was exceptional, and the free shuttle service, which you can book in the morning, takes you to other stunning resorts owned by the same group as The Oasis Residence, allowing you to spend the entire day at the beach.
Returning in the evening to dine on your private veranda taking advantage of the restaurant service, enjoying the view of the tropical garden and the pools, was priceless.
Highly recommended!

GreeceWhat can we say about Mahi Mahi? We will never forget the four beautiful days and nights we spent there. Perfect, peaceful location, away from the crowds. Near the village, where you can go around exploring on foot (do it & support the local community!!) Stunning view of the ocean, delicious food, abundant breakfast and very good choices for lunch or dinner - prices of the restaurant more expensive than what you find in local restaurants nearby but still quite affordable. All of the dishes delicious - congratulations to the chef, who btw took the time to come and meet us :) I tried the "chef's special" everyday during breakfast :). Clean, spacious rooms, you wake up and sleep hearing the sound of the sea. Now THAT is a memory to hold on to during winter. Amazing service - thank you Sifa, Skola (special thanks for the on-the-go Swahili lessons to my wife) Justin, Ilias, and I'm SO sorry I forget the names of all the other nice people that made our stay so wonderful, we thank you all! To the owners: keep it real, thank you for everything.
We have now moved to another place of the island and can feel the difference in quality!

I have been looking forward to write this review, because this place is the best place we have ever been!!! And we have traveled a lot..From we booked to we left yesterday, we have felt so welcome and been taken so good care of! Excellence is the best word, and in every way! Hospitality, staff, food, the bungalows, housekeeping and the setting is spectacular, on one of the most beautiful beaches on Zanzibar. It’s easy to go to every parts of the island, because they have the best drivers on the planet. So calm, safe cars, on time, waiting for you while you do your plan for that day. They organize massage for you outside your bungalow, private barbecue, and set up trips to different activities on the island that you want to see. And the prices are good. What is good to know is that Jambiani Villas have three properties on the beach. The one in the middle has the restaurant for breakfast and other meals. We stayed on the property 350 meters north, but loved that breakfast walk every morning on the beach! The bungalow had the most amazing sea view, and every morning we sat on the balcony taking it all in, before we jumped into the turquoise water and walked for breakfast. They also offer room service for free, if you want your breakfast in your house, but I recommend the 5 min walk! It is also good to know that this is Africa! One row behind, you meet the locals and you see the poverty and the big differences. But you also see how important tourism are for the locals. We buy their beautiful handmade things, they got work on different properties and they are extremely friendly. We were totally safe even after sunsets, walking to a restaurant along the beach.

From the time we stepped into the property, we knew we were in the perfect place.
Calm, peaceful with the sound of birds to greet you as soon as you walk into the reception. The staff are absolutely out of this world- their kindness was remarkable. I find it hard to mention all the names here, as each and every single member of staff was exceptionally warm and helpful- to find this is extremely rare. Benjamin helped us out in literally almost everything- including arranging for some medication and testaments for our baby girl. Nitin, the bar manager helped arrange a custom baby chair for her as well and checked on us everyday. The general manager himself lent us the baby chair from
his house- it was a truly heartwarming gesture.The property itself is green, lush, luxurious and absolutely opulent. Going for bike rides was something we looked forward to as the beautiful Zanzibar breeze lifted us away into a magical world of nature and its bliss. The backyard pool only steps away from the sea was something we absolutely loved as well. Now coming to the food- the food was magnificent and the service in both restaurants more than perfect. Service with a smile all the way! We looked forward to the meals while we walked down or biked down to the restaurant- anticipating what would be on offer that day :) Grill station was OMG !
The dinner entertainment was also carefully selected- not too loud, just right and very very enjoyable!
We will miss this stay for a long long time, no matter where we go, there was something uniquely beautiful about the place.

From the very beginning, I was greeted with such genuine warmth and kindness that I immediately felt welcome and at ease. Every detail of my stay was handled with incredible care, creating a memorable experience that far exceeded my expectations.
I was assigned a personal butler (Katherine), whose dedication and attentiveness were second to none. She anticipated every need and ensured that I was always comfortable and well looked after. Truly exemplary and kind service!
The room was flawless—spacious, elegant, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed with a perfect mix of luxury and regional character. Every aspect, from the soft linens to the carefully chosen lighting, contributed to a serene and luxurious atmosphere.

Location is absolutely superb..paradise.Breakfast was very good, lots of fresh fruit juices meats bacon eggs toast coffee and even Nutella with pancakes and crepes😋 👌 😍 . Service was exceptional at breakfast which is included ..loved my room which was clean and on the beach. I was welcomed with a beautiful flower arrangement 💐 on my bed and throughout the room..room also had a mosquito net which I appreciated. Most friendly and helpful receptionist Elly and Oana not sure of this is the right spelling , great first impressions. They ensured my stay was amazing. Thank you guys❣🌷Overall felt safe loved the stunning beach the location of this hotel and its staff.I also enjoyed a few delicious dinners here as well that were very flavourful and delicious. Absolutely loved my stay here! Facilities were amazing - massive pool and lots of deck chairs around the pool or at the private beach. Staff were so friendly and remembered my name whenever they saw me - it’s the little things! Rooms were amazing and spacious. Loved my balcony for morning chill time. Great central location. This resort is a great respite from people trying to sell you things on the beach or constantly trying to talk to you when you’re tanning (as a solo female traveller, this can get so tiresome.) definitely worth the splurge to stay here and feel so relaxed and soak up the sun. My flight was quite late at night and they let me store my belongings, use the resort and shower before it was time to go also :)

A beautiful place second time staying here! Truly relaxing stay in a lovely area. We loved the food and drinks available and the pool area is perfect, just a few steps away from the rooms. The best thing about this place is the staff, they are so accomadating, friendly with positive energy. Monica as always you are a ray of sunshine and thanks so much to Mary who took us to see the local school upon request. Thanks also to Elizabeth for showing us round and being so friendly and all the bar staff who made our favourite drinks! Nothing is too much to ask and the organisation of excursions was great. It was a great stay for me and my family.
It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere.
We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...
This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

I loved that it was a proper reflection of the Island in that you took home the beauty of the place and kindness of the people.
It was not loud or noisy and had very few touristy hotels and vendors hassling you

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem!
This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. Paje is a very awesome and lively place to visit. As a solo traveller, I had no difficulty looking for activities, places to eat, or party, since they were all around. Definitely a place to visit over and over again

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...
If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it.
There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice.
Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open.
We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company.
Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email.
The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule.
The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent.
Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional...
Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
