We liked how welcoming and friendly the staff was. They helped us and informed us of all the activities and the facilities in the hotel. The food was very delicious and fresh. Room was super comfortable and clean. The spa was amazing and we did two treatments as we liked it very much.

We stayed for 3 days, wish we had more time. Staff is nice and friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is amazing! And the chill area around the pool is just great, clean and calm. It is possible to wash and dry clothes for free, which was great since we travel with hand luggage. Super nice place, nice people. 10min walk from restaurants and night Market. Just amazing property. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Empress Hotel for a week, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff at this hotel truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests we had. The hotel's proximity to the Chabad House was a huge plus for us, as it made attending services and events there very convenient. The combination of the warm and welcoming staff and the ideal location made our stay at The Empress Hotel perfect for our needs. Overall, I highly recommend The Empress Hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay in the area. Well this place is just a treasure. In a valley in the mountains. The main reception room and dinner rooms are spectacular. Bit and open to the elements. The pool area is well designed with 2 pool areas. Service is great. There are areas to meditate we used and really liked. Our room which was a upper mountain junior suite or something like that was just great. Big and tastefully designed. We spent a lot of time on the balcony which is big and private. We used this place to rest after 3 weeks travelling and it is just what we needed. It is a gem.

Beautifully designed room with great view to the river. Probably the most comfortable bed and pillows I've had in a long time. All the facilities you need with an enormous choice for breakfast. Tahi restaurant and western style both very good (beef tartare superb). Not really announced bu the Bubbles rooftop bar can serve any restaurant items if you want to mix and match. Pool area enormous and not crowded. Spa vitamin infusion also very professional.

It was my favourite hotel in Chiang Mai so far. I stayed in Hop Inn Airport so I knew what to expect. They have european style high quality beds, which support your back really well. They cleaned my room every day while I was getting coffee. My balcony got sunlight for many hours, but the room didn't get hot and AC was top tier. The location is good. There's a lot of shops and restaurants within 1km radius. The area itself is quiet.

Beautiful Temple in town and fabulous Temple in the mountains. Trip to the elephant sanctuary was a long drive but worth the trip. The night market is a fun walk about. Try the ice-cream rolls, a tasty fun experience. Tuk-Tuk's are very reasonable as are Grab(uber like ). My wife and I highly recommend the Peak Spa. We also really enjoyed Mamma Noi's cooking school. (with a hats off to our guide Nook) Kantoke dinner and show just OK.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.

The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle. It would be difficult for those who do not have a vehicle. We had a great time cycling around Mae Rim, including sections of the "Lanna Trail".

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

Day of exploring with elephant sanctuary with team Yaya, get it on get your guide booking. Art village, carp cafe, French bistro cafe, unnie nails. Just be careful hiring scooters, have travel insurance before you go. We hired scooters from Happy Days, they never told us we need motorbike permit in chiang mai , within 1hr stopped by police with 500 baht fine followed the police to station to pay. Second day we had motorbike accident with my leg injury , the rental bumped us even it was not our fault according to police we paid damage to their bike and for the other guy. Overall soo much good place to explore, day trips to other cities. Next time I be staying for over 2weeks, people are kind and helpful just speak less English.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

The cool & freezing weather.

The cool & freezing weather. Must stay here for atleast one night if you have a trip to Chiang Mai. Experience the beautiful flower farm and walking distance. You will appreciate the morning fresh air & cool cloudy fog if you dont mind walking to the flower farm nearby within 15min walk . For Muslim, even though it is only one restaurant that offer halal food , but the taste was worth the price. Will repeat next time if i travel to Chiang Mai.
