I liked the fact that the property sits at 1970 meters high in the mountains. I had the Saffron suite which was absolutely of an exquisite taste, marble, hard wood and nice furnitures were all blending together to offer the ultimate luxury experience. The site only offert a restaurant and the rooms just to experience to the upmost what the mountains has best, quietude and pure air from such altitude.

Clean, ambience, location, food

Surprisingly modern and well equipped room for the price. Excellent value for the location. Beautiful sunset views right from our balcony. Will definitely stay here again.

My stay was amazing. I had a very lovely room with an astonishing view of the mountains. The staff were super attentive to me and my needs. Many many thanks to Raghav who made it even better. Raghav made sure my stay is smooth and enjoyable. So grateful!

Breakfast and the facilities are too good. Also staff behaviour nice.

Location, the rooms everything is good

Beautiful village and the hotel right in the middle. Such great atmosphere and vibe! All stone houses and views of the valley and the next village over with the terraced gardens. Very nice hike with lots of steps up and down to the terraced gardens. Very tasty dinner and breakfast, recommended to add this! We only stayed one night but I would recommend two or three to soak in the views and atmosphere and enjoy the facilities. Great communication, easy pick up for transport up the mountain and back again to the car.

Rustic chic house in a beautiful setting with gorgeous views. Nice view. Nice beds. Spacious. Oman architecture. Let me repeat: the place, the view, the old deserted (in 2022) village, and the terraces.... Gorgeous. Interior is Omani design and very pretty!

The Suwgra hotel Unbelievable experience in mountains of Jebel Akhdar region of Oman. Great hospitality, very good typical food but the best attraction is the location . This mountain village hotel is literally like a real Omani ancient mountain village , with the rooms “carved” in the mountains. Inside the rooms are very nice , beautiful and the sensation is a kind of a typical experience. Of course don’t expect luxury and opulence but the rooms are really very nice and comfortable ( the bathroom is in a separated place close to the main room but you can just adapt it and of course this is totally understandable in a authentic mountain village hotel). It was chilly outside but the configuration of the bed inside the room and the blankets didn’t let us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was also good enough and the owners ( real local Omanis proud and nice guys) made all the effort to make our stay unforgettable. Unfortunately we just stay one night because of the time constraints. And the short hike in (sunset time) and out (sunrise time) was also very nice with great views of surrounding scenic mountains. The relation between price and experience for me is totally fair and worth it. Please don’t let the reviews that are criticizing the price keep you far from this experience because , in my humble opinion, it seems to me that these people weren’t aware about the place that they were supposed to go. Just one little advise , ask the hotel staff about the details of the bath and the shower work because are a little tricky to understand it. I and my wife just have good memories of this experience and we are very grateful to the hotel guys for the hospitality.
