Very much enjoyed staying at Funken Lodge. Three points I would like to highlight in particular: Friendliness of each and every team member. They really want you to have a great time! Very cozy and comfortable lounge areas where you can hang out before or after your activities. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant are exquisite, and the view from the tables is just mind-blowing.

Everything was awesome. The team at Basecamp treated was so kindly we felt like at home after 1st moment. The chef turned me from a tost fan to a Eggs Benedict fan. I will miss every moment from the time we walked into the reception until our pick-up back to the airport. Thank you all for such a great experience.

The hotel nicely blends into the environment of a small northern town. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view. You can borrow slippers for an excellent breakfast.

The apartment is cozy and modern, it has everything you would need, great view, and for photographing the Northern Lights it is pretty close to the end of town and a dark area where visibility is quite good. About 10 minutes to the town center by foot as well.

Very clean hostel, showers and bathrooms very clean. Comfortable beds and nice breakfast. Location is not in center of Longyearbyen but walkable distance, which is very good anyway to walk more and see more of nature of Svalbard. Staff is super nice and welcoming, they gave me very good advice for tours on Svalbard and helped me to book it. If you come from airport with airport bus Flybussen, this is exactly last stop of it, same on day of departure bus to the airport starts right outside this hotel. Very very convenient! Thank you very much for your hospitality!
