The hotel was perfect, zero complaints. The vibe, the design, the pool in the middle of the hotel, the walking paths throughout, the privacy, the outdoor shower in the rooms, and most of all, the pool INSIDE the room. Already looking for dates to rebook. Will be back.

We stayed for 8 days and it was probably the most relaxing days of my life. Lounging by our pool all day and relaxing was so amazing. The staff was super attentive. The food wonderful. My biggest fear with giving this review is that this place is fully booked next time we come to stay. Nothing like it. Absolute jungle bliss. We did the yoga and meditation even though it was new to us and enjoyed marshmallows over a nightly fire. If you are looking to relax look no further. You will need a car. So many beaches are close and at your finger tips. The beach hotels are loud and have music. This was zen all the way through. A very special stay and place. We will be back to recharge again.

The hotel is nestled beautifully in the jungle. Quiet. Peaceful. Serene. Esther and the young man working were such amazing hosts! Even made us a special Mexican breakfast when I asked. They took care of everything with genuine care and smile. The hotel is in the small town of Chemuyil, which has a small town charm and is surrounded by cenotes. Just close enough to Tulum to go for the day, but then to retreat to your quiet, beautiful oasis. Yes, there is no AC, but I promise you don't need it. You have cool fresh air and a couple of fans. I even got a little chilly and used both blankets. Slept like a baby.

We liked everything! First of all, the owner reaches out directly to provide you with all the information you need, he welcomes you as you are coming home. Absolutely fabulous! The rooms are better than the pictures, also very big room (even the bathroom is big!) Beds are super comfortable, very wide bed as well. Every room is different, very nice interior. It’s just one year old, everything is new! He also works hard to keep the standards high! His heart and soul are in that place. The jacuzzi is located in the afternoon sun on the terrace, so you can enjoy the warm water with the sun on your face. There was no problem to park our car, please ask Fabri (the owner) to reserve a parking spot. Very good location, walking distance to the beach and located in the city centre. Fabri will help you with good adresses to eat/drink. Or what you can do during the day. You won’t get bored with his ideas! Please don’t doubt when booking, this is the place you were looking for! Definitely coming back!

The rooms, the design, the beach, the restaurants, the staff, the weekly event calendar (including yoga, breathwork, temazcal (for extra), workshops, fire ceremonies etc.) EVERYTHING was fantastic. I am in love and I want to go back! It was a dreamy, romantic, barefoot stay at Nomade which was the best experience I had in a hotel my whole life - not even kidding. Don't get caught up on the negative comments... I was very concerned after reading all the bad reviews but to our surprise everything was perfect and smooth. Upon check-in we asked to change our ocean front room to another one which had a day bed and the next day (because the first day they were all occupied) - done. However, our first room was actually way larger so bummer... anyway oh and when it gets windy it can be really loud to sleep there so be aware. Both the rooms had the best amenities though... I don't want to give spoilers you should just see for yourselves and get as excited as we did as you're being shown around your room haha! We loved the restaurants La Popular (thanks David for your service!) for both lunch & dinner, and Macondo was just perfect with its oriental vibes & live music in the evening and the food was yummy. The staff was really helpful as well, so thank you! And the "Journey Designers" which help with your wellness journey in the hotel are the sweetest, friendliest people. Special thanks to Maria & Jose. Thank you for your kindness! And Lorena from front desk and Sofia from concierge! <3

I usually don’t write reviews, but this place is pure magic. everything was amazing. I was hesitating to book because of the terrible reviews they have here, but after staying there, I can’t understand them. perhaps it comes from people that don’t understand the concept of the hotel or are looking for a complete different type of holidays… you won’t find a crowded all inclusive resort there, if that’s what you’re looking for. this hotel touched my heart and soul. It gives you the perfect platform to disconnect and reconnect. I felt so connected to myself, to the nature around and overall present and grateful. every corner of this place is specially curated and extremely beautiful. also the daily activities included for the guests are great. i tried the spa and it was exceptional. they have holistic treatments for the body, mind and soul. some of them performed by a shaman. everything was perfect, including the staff… the angels, security, the waiters, mixologists, hostesses, sommelier, bell boys. I was treated with love and care. I felt at home. I was so pleasantly surprised that I had to extend my stay. and if I could, I would have stayed longer. I will definitely come back.

Location = paradise. (In terms of views, location) Staff is friendly. Very few people on resort in January, exactly what we were looking for. This is a bungalow so if you expect the comfort of a hotel room with AC and similar comfort you should look elsewhere where. But if you are down for a virgin experience with your room just a few steps away for the ocean and keep in mind that you will hear the waves all night long (inside of your room) then this is gonna be the best experience you can have. Food was great. The beach was always clean. No rocks in the water despite those on the front of the resort’s beach. There is also a part of the beach with no rocks at the front of the water (see the night shot with the string lights).

My FAVORITE cenotes were at Sac Actun and Ecopark Kantun Chi...

My FAVORITE cenotes were at Sac Actun and Ecopark Kantun Chi. Sac Actun requires a guide, but it's not as expensive as some of the other places. The cenote is beautiful and they provide you with wetsuits (which helps a LOT with the cold) and goggles. It was a very cool experience. Ecopark Kantun Chi has 5 cenotes but we bought the entrance that allows you to go 4 of them without a guide. For us, this was perfect because we could spend as much time as we wanted at each spot and they were all so different and beautiful. I loved #3, which was an open sky cenote with a waterfall and #4, which was a really cool cave with spots where the sunlight streamed in from above. We got to see some lobsters there too. Also a very cool feature is that there are kayaks in several of the cenotes so you get to explore them that way as well. Another cool spot was Languna Yal Ku where we got to snorkel in calm water and see so many different types of fish. I highly recommend wearing clothing that covers your arms and legs since sunscreen isn't permitted and you are directly exposed to the sun the whole time. For meals, we enjoyed traveling to both Akumal Pueblo (for some simple and cheaper meals) and Akumal Playa on the other side of the road for some more variety.

What a cool spot!

What a cool spot! We are definitely not the all inclusive resort kind of travelling family. So when we stumbled upon Puerto Adventuras, we were hapily impressed. There was so much to do within walking distance. There is a park, kids camps, beautiful beaches, swimming pools, amazing choice restaurants, and an overall really cool vibe. I liked it because although it felt like - yes this is definitely an international tourist destination - it also felt grounded and down to earth. In addition to the travellers who pass through, many people live and work in Puerto Adventuras giving it a really lovely family neighbourhood feel.

This hotel is not for families, it was way to much noise all night long drunk people scream in the hallways , our door was nock at 1-3 in the morning woke up our children age 2y, 6y, 8y. The staff were so helpless, unfriendly and rude. Every time we had to eat was so stressful cause the waiters will be so mad and we will ask for things like water they will take for ever to give to us. It was a buffe every time but water wasn’t available or even a spoon. They drop drinks next to ur table they didn’t clean it the whole breakfast we were there, i was so afraid any of us will fall down. Front Thea people never knew the answer. Overall we were so disappointed. It feel like a super cheap hotel, full of a lot of drunk people. I read bad reviews and didn’t payed attention but I wish I did. I’m not happy at all with this hotel experience and I’m not planing to eve go back. The ocean was the only thing was good about our trip.

Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico. Not many tourists not many places like restaurants or shops. Its full of sargaso and at the moment properties cant deal with it and many of them are on the beach. But you can have nice excursions to see dolphins at the nature ,we took the fishers boat and went to see dolphins and turtles do some snorkel, kids loved it! But this place is far and the road is not good.

The main Playa del Carmen beaches ( Mamitas Beach, Pelicanos Beach and the one next to the Ferries are very very narrow as the sea is rapidly eroding them; thus there is very little space to sit and wherever you are, you will have locals playing loud music on their portable music players. A really beautiful wide beach with a jungle backdrop is the Coco beach which is about 2 miles long and easily accessible. The other very good beach is Playacar beach which is also long and wide but has hotels between the palms, the whole way along.
