The loft is beautifully designed with lots of thoughtful details, a comfortable bed, and a great view (rare for Bali). The breakfast exceeded expectations and was a highlight of the stay.

The hotel was amazing! Everything was clean and really beautiful. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. It was so sweet and helpful and did not only helped with organizational things but always made sure that you are satisfied. The shuttle service of the hotel was also a very nice add on, which made the stay even better. The breakfast was also really good and you could choose out of three options. We would always come back here!!!

My recent stay at this charming hotel, run by two sisters, was an absolute delight. This newly opened gem exudes a sense of beauty and tranquility that made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The staff's kindness and helpfulness were truly exceptional, adding warmth to every interaction. The bedroom was not only comfortable but also exquisitely designed, and the bathroom was a work of art in itself. Our stay here left us longing to return. The delicious breakfast spread, offering a wide variety of options, was a daily highlight. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Uluwatu. It's the perfect choice for those who wish to be close to the beach and restaurants while still enjoying a peaceful and serene night's rest. This hotel is a true gem and I can't wait to come back for another unforgettable stay.

Our stay at Neano Escape was everything we have imagined if not better. The staff was especially helpful and the view was extraordinary. If you are looking for a stay in a quiet environment I would truly recommend this place. The hotel is also close to the port to the Gili Islands.

Everything about my stay here was excellent! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and had a few vegan options, the property was well-kept and beautiful, and every detail of the place seems intentional. It's in a quiet area but easily accessible to many shops, restaurants, and easy beach access. I will definitely be coming back here when I visit Uluwatu again.

We had the best stay at Weda Cita, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We were celebrating my partners 30th birthday and they pulled out all the stops. Nothing was too much for them, breakfast was lovely, room service for dinner was very yummy! Room was modern and comfortable, bathroom was very spacious and clean. We used the spa facilities too and got a great offer for a full body massage and head massage which was amazing!! The pool facilities and sun beds were very comfortable and always plenty of space! The location is good, if you are up for walking it’s around a 30 minute walk to the centre of Ubud. It was very warm but we enjoyed stretching our legs. The hotel were able to help us book taxis to get to all of the sites and were on hand whilst we were out and about if we needed help to get back. Couldn’t recommend them enough! We hope to come back soon! Thank you so much for the best time in Ubud! Special mention to Dewi and Indah for everyone you helped us with!!

FAQs about hotels in Bali

An Island Dream

The dream destination of Bali is where volcanic landscape meets lush rice terraces and pristine beaches. Not to mention the fantastic surfing, cheap shopping and pervading spirituality that have made this Indonesian island a long-time favourite for backpackers.

The island’s capital is Denpasar in the south, but its surf and party capital is nearby Kuta. Swaying palm trees line the beach here and many more cover the grounds of the Bali hotels on the beach in more exclusive Seminyak to the north.

On the island’s north coast, Pemuteran beach offers lovely views of the sloping mountains heading towards the Bali Sea. Many beaches on this coast are black sand, including sweeping Lovina beach from where dolphins can often be seen. Tulamben in the east is one of the better diving resorts in Bali, while Sanur is a popular option for families.

Ubud is the island’s cultural capital and houses a monkey sanctuary in its jungle-like landscape. An ancient Hindu temple is found here, but the best-known temple is Tanah Lot, surrounded by water. There are also hundreds of fantastic spas in Bali, as well as meditation and yoga classes that you can join.

Whether you choose to stay inland or by the beautiful coastline, Booking.com has a great range of villas, guest houses and hotels in Bali.

We love the hustle and bustle, but also enjoy the fact that we can get out and about easily. We loved the Irish pub and Greek taverna that we found this trip! this is an up and coming area in Bali. it looks like it will be upmarket from the shops, bars and restaurants that are already there. Its very busy and the traffic is hectic ( as is everywhere in Bali). Its a younger persons place as plenty of parties and activities. Uluwatu is certainly the tourist destination for fitness and wellness lovers, or those that love the coast. The locals are extremely welcoming, and whilst I don't necessarily recommend it, you can travel most of it on foot compared to the rest of the island. The businesses are a lot more westernised and is a great first stop for your Bali trip experience.

Sanur was the upmarket side of Bali until Uluwatu and Nusa were developed. It's a nice area, without the business off the south coast, and few pubs and clubs with their sometimes/often less than savory clientele. Sanur is a great location for families with young kids, no big surf, and older people who don't want, or need, the nightlife of Legian to Canggu. Cheeky Monkey is a good place to eat, walk out, turn right, and it's less than a hundred metres on the same side.

I loved everything I saw here, just wish I could have stayed...

I loved everything I saw here, just wish I could have stayed longer. I stayed at Prapat Beach, which was close enough to Penida Ferry Port and stunning, with an amazing view of Agung on a clear day. My accomodation was in a great spot and is as advertised. Sari Nadi Beach Stay is only a few k's from the harbour but with traffic, it took around 30mins. I did a tour of West island beaches, which I found disappointing because it was so busy, shoulder-to-shoulder busy! It felt it was impossible to really enjoy it with so many people. The walk down to Kelingking Beach might have been worth it if you didn't have to keep stopping for someone to get their perfect shot! The drive through the countryside was worth it alone though, and if your new to the island, it's a great way to get your bearings for a return visit. Crystal Beach was my pick of the beaches, just don't forget to bring a towel or change to hire one and a bed. Otherwise, you can sit at a table. Overall, I can't wait to go back! One tip, check if there are any days of (religious) observance when you stay. My stay coincided with Nyepi Laut, 'Silence of the Ocean' which means no water activity, great for me because it meant peace and quiet but not if you needed to travel that day.

A beautiful, manicured ‘tourist only’ area.

A beautiful, manicured ‘tourist only’ area. The beaches are stunningly beautiful golden sand with little swell or waves. The coastal walk makes an excellent stroll between the different hotels which merge into each other. The food options were as good as anywhere you will travel, but at a premium price compared to the rest of Bali. We found eating out, similar in price to our home country (New Zealand). Alcohol was definitely cheaper. Overall, a great place to go for a pampered, relaxing stay in the tropics.
