We had a wonderful stay at The Ostendian. Ithe rooms are clean and spacious and we had a fantastic view.
The breakfast was really good and the staff was very kind. They even found lactose free food for our son which was great.

this hotel is very well located close to the large shopping main street and not far from the beach ( a few hundred meters).
Despite the fact the hotel is large and overbooked the breakfacst was perfectly organised with a large staff cleaning the tables as soon as they have been making free . There was a very large choise of everything and it is one of the best breakfast we got in a 4 stars hotel we staid for a while .

The hotel is nicely situated the room was specious, the bed comfortable, all very clean and a really good breakfast.
Although the hotel has some signs of age it has its Charme.

The mobile home was comfy and clean, incredibly well equipped. The lady we spoke to was lovely! The site was conveniently located for the town and was immaculate. The little welcome pack contained a loo roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, and washing up sponge, brush and cloths. The bed was comfy, and although there is limited room around the bed to get dressed, the rest of the unit had ample space.

Beach was clean and there was plenty of space. It would have been better to stay nearer the town centre as our apartment was to far to walk.
There is also a dog beach which was a bonus.

Blankenberge is for my family a special vacation destination. We like it due to the convenient transport, the train stops in the center of the city. The city is not big and has its charm, by walking it is possible to reach each attraction. The tram allows you to go to the other cities and towns located along the Belgian coast. Therefore, your trip can be even more attractive.

Nieuwpoort consists of the main town which in a little distance inland, and Nieuwpoort-Bad which is at the seaside. Make sure you pick the right one. Nieuwpoort-Bad is one of the better Belgian seaside towns with shops, good hotels and apartments, and entertainment. It’s also a good base from which to drive or take the Littoral tram along the coast. Parking can be a pain, but most of the seaside towns offer 30mins free then €1 or €1.50 per hour. But you have to register your number plate and take a ticket for the free 30 mins option. Santos Palace in nearby Koksijde is a must visit for hot chocolate, waffles and patisserie.

Lovely little town with diverse shops, grocers, bakers. Beach and sea spotless, excellent life guards, good play areas for the kids. An excellent sea side holiday with lots of attractions close by and a tram to take you there so leave the car at home.

I have travelled back to the UK from De Panne many times, it is only about 50 mins from the tunnel, and far enough away from Calais and all its problems. Plus, De Panne is a Belgian holiday seaside resort, lots of restaurants, and off the promenade, lots of last minute present buying shops. I have bought so much chocolate from here in the past.

A stunning village - for anyone interested in architecture...
A stunning village - for anyone interested in architecture it is worth taking the time to stroll the wide boulevards and check out the incredible houses, each different from the other.
The beach is close by with a long paved promenade, deckchairs and many facilities.
There is also a tram service through the centre of town with one direct to Ostende and train connection to Brugge.

The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of Restraunts and beach bars. Friday Mornings there is a street market with local belgian foods and other small business vendors. Everything you could want on a beach vacation is easily accessible on ZeeLaan (Main Street) Taking advantage of the KustTram you can travel from DePanne to Ostende (where you can catch the train to Brugge - a definite must see)

It is very well located to do tourism in the area. You will need the car for almost everything. We used the tram line because it is also very nice with the kids. We went to Brugge and Knoke in different days.

Not so touristic and so not over-crowded. Quiet and dog friendly beach. You can see the beach from the main street due to the dune. Therefore there is no boardwalk with view however nice little walking/biking paths. Few shops and restaurants. It was a nice place to go however for me it was missing the beach vibe that you find in other Belgium coast beaches.
