Very spacious, clean, full kitchen and beautiful view. Staff was very responsive and accommodating. I really wish we had more time to stay as the room just felt like home and comfortable.. The road to Roldal was closed due to bad weather the original day we were going to stay, so had to change the dates last minute which was given smoothly without penalty. They also held our room the next day in case there was bad weather which was forecasted, but we ended up not staying which was nice to have a backup plan without committing to paying for another night. I kind of was hoping to get snowed in just to have an excuse to stay another night!

Situated 4 km from Røldal Village, overlooking Lake Røldalsvatnet, Hordatun Hotel offers international cuisine and an on-site bar. Accommodation options include a balcony or terrace, and Wi-Fi and parking are free. The apartment was more spacious than I expected and clean. The kicthen was enough equipped and I had everything I needed during my staying. The description and the photos of the studio was exactly as depicted on the site. Although the hotel is situated on the main road, it was quiet and very safe staying there. The best of all was the staff at the reception, so polite, helpful, warm and honest. I had a problem with a very late checkin and helped me with an immediate solution for a smoothy check in, early in the morning! And as if that was not enough, the next day, after my check out, the lady in the reception offered to call from her personal mobile and arranged everything for me to solve a problem with the keys of my rental car. I have no words to thank her for her kindness and help. The compassion and the empathy she treated me have been engraved on my mind as an excellent expression of the norwegian hospitality.

Comfortable, spacious, clean, beautiful apartment with very good facilities. The kitchen had everything one could possibly need and some more. Also there was a washing machine. Our apartment had a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains but this probably varies from one apartment to another (some of the apartments probably don't have much of a view as it is obstructed by the buildings). It was very quiet and pleasant stay. This is a perfect base for exploring nearby mountain nature with a car. Grocery store is in Røldal center just 5 minutes drive away. Underground parking with a lift straight up to the apartment floor was great on rainy weather. These apartments are located in the yellow building behind the main hotel building.

We simply loved with 3 friend there over 3 nights, Igvall not sure if am writing his name right was just the nicest host ever, never too busy to explain something to you, Great cottage, the sauna is right next to a cold ice river perfect for a hot clod therapy.
