The property features inner courtyard and quiet street views, and is 6.5 km from Hiromitsu Ochiai Baseball Hall. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. I cannot recommend this enough. The temple itself is beautiful, and the surrounding area as well. Everyone was extremely nice! We had to use google translate a couple of times to ask certain questions but everything went smoothly. We also selected the option of joining the morning prayer and stamp making with the monk (which were both really good), as well as the dinner (which was incredible). I don’t think we realised at the time of booking the size of the “room”, but it was essentially a massive place just for the two of us! (I think it can fit up to 6 or 8 people), so it really felt like we had the whole area just for us. We went by car and did a few stops around the temple which were also very worth while. Overall, we really enjoyed it and highly recommend both the stay and joining some of their experiences.

The dinner and breakfast were also a highlight that started off the first official day of my 18?day trip. The wagyu steak was incredible as well as the other dishes. I even got to see the rest of the goat farm before starting my hike on the Kumano Kodo. I will be back!
