During our 3-week journey across Japan, this hotel was one of the absolute highlights - especially as a gay couple. From the exceptional design to the exquisite facilities and the unbeatable location - everything felt meticulously curated. It’s as if every corner of this hotel was purposefully crafted, with style and intention. We found ourselves wandering through the space wide-eyed and genuinely awestruck. Bonus points for the wonderful breakfast, served in one of FOUR beautiful on-site restaurants, and the impressively high-tech gym. Walking out of the hotel feels simply like an extension of the experience - beautiful streets with boutique shops and cosy restaurants. We especially loved the record player and curated album selection - a charming retro touch that made the room feel even more special. Also a great spot for digital nomads: the lobby feels like a trendy open-space co-working hub. Most people hanging out there aren’t even hotel guests! And when locals choose to spend time at your hotel, you know you’re doing something right. ProTip: like in many hotels, the laundry service isn't very "cost effective". But no worries! There are laundromats nearby, simply grab one of the (free!) guest bikes and do a quick trip. Laundromats in Japan are an attraction by their own.

Hotel anddoggy Kyoto Nijo is goed gelegen in Kyoto, en biedt een continentaal ontbijt en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Everything was great! Great value for money! Rooms are really spacious and super clean. Service is irreproachable and there are a lot of free services (coffee, juices, food etc.). We did not have a dog and were still super well welcomed. We actually extended our stay there because it was super comfortable.

Gallery Nozawa Inn biedt accommodatie in Kyoto, op 25 minuten lopen van het station JR Kyoto. In de hele accommodatie is gratis WiFi beschikbaar. It's an amazing place with such a wonderful hosts and the breakfast was the best thing in Kyoto, I really liked it

Open from 2016, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto features a Western-style restaurant and a tea house by a pond in Shakusuien Japanese garden as well as a lounge. Kyoto Station is a 7-minute drive away. Has a wonderful garden… obviously hotel is great.

Takigawa Ryokan ligt op 10 minuten lopen van het treinstation JR Kyoto en beschikt over comfortabele kamers in Japanse stijl met tatami (geweven stro) vloeren. This Ryokan was excellent in many ways. First, although the place is within walking distance from Kyoto station, you can also take the subway right next to the location (in case you have large suitcases). Second, it is pet friendly! They accepted my and my small Chihuahua, and they also respected my wishes to put off cleaning in order to allow my dog to roam freely in the room. Third, the staff are so friendly and accommodating! My partner couldn't sleep because of some noise in the next room and so the staff happily moved him to a quieter room IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! They were wonderfully accommodating! 本当にありがとうございました。

Guest house KUN bevindt zich in Miyazu, op 2,4 km van Strand van Amanohashidate en 2,3 km van Chionji Temple, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en... The host was so kind, a family owned business! It was really comfortable and it felt like I was staying at home. Watched TV in the living room, rented their bike, and everything was really clean. They also offer pick -up from Miyazu Station which was very convenient. I would stay here again.
