It is GORGEOUS, spacious and comfortable. Staff: They were professional, helpful, prompt and courteous Food: I was concerned it might be too oily, but the chef managed to make it delicious and wholesome. Loads of variety too. Location: It is very close to the dunes, local market and outside food options (if that is what you prefer) Room: Very large, lots of space to spread out luggage if needed. Hot water in the bathroom was refreshing for hot showers after long days. We didn't have any electricity issues and their wifi was quite strong as well. The view was spectacular. Ambience: The overall vibe was that you have your privacy, but also feel connected. We felt right at home and truly enjoyed our stay here. If we had an option we would certainly return for a much longer stay.

Excellent hotel to stay fir 2-3 days tour program in Nubra valley . From Back side ( balcony) of hotel room both hill and flower garden view were excellent. Food was also very good . we got some dishes cooked as per our likings.

The location is great, just one street away from the main market, yet on a quiet side street, making it perfect for rest and relaxation. The homestay is very stylish, everything is clean, the rooms are huge and comfortable, the furniture is beautiful. The whole place has a really welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, it was just so good to come back here. The rooftop terrace with the full panorama is simply breathtaking, the most beautiful view you can imagine. But what really makes this place special are the wonderful people who run it. Not only are they super nice, funny, helpful, and flexible, but they also have a special ability to build community. The rooftop terrace has been the scene of countless deep conversations, big laughs, and cool music. Still smiling if I think back, full of amazing memories. :) Thank you for everything, hope to see you again somewhere, sometime.

All rooms include a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries and slippers. The cottage is owned by a formal army soldier. The amenities are what you expect in a remote cottage with no electrical lines. It's the same for every cottage in Lukung. The generators run only from 7pm to 10:30 pm and you should come to Pangong tso for the views and adventure and stay away if you are seeking comfort. Also, you will be dying for oxygen if the generators run all night or if you have heaters in your room. I'd rather stay alive than just be comfortable. In terms of the cottage and host, Thinley is one of the nicest people I have met on my trip. He made Kadha for my cousin when he had a cold and fed us chai at all times of the day. He made food 3 times a day and it was pretty decent imo. The rooms are basic with a comfortable and warm bed but the prices are more than competitive compared to other cottages and it's totally worth it. I would stay in Thinley's cottage next time I come to Pangong and decide to stay in Lukung.
