I think the project and developmwnt of the place is excellent and I really enjoyed my time there.

I've been to the jungle in India, Borneo and the Phillipines but Rambai Tree Eco Jungle Huts not only provided the most comfortable accommodation but they made us feel like family ❤️🙏. Romi and Tia communicated efficiently and clearly from the moment I booked, several months ago. They provided a very reasonably priced, friendly and knowledgeable return airport shuttle - Wayhu, and the best guides - Ronie and Nanda. We saw Orangutans, Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and a monitor lizard in just a half day trek! As well as being visited daily by the local Macaque troop and several large bats. Tia cooked us the most fantastic farewell dinner and we were genuinely sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for them ❤️

Beautiful location right on the river, surrounded by nature and beautiful views, a retreat from the busy-ness of town. It is only a short motorbike ride into town, and you can walk ~10 mins to get to an alfamart/indomaret. I did 2 days jungle trekking with Andi who was a great guide. We saw lots of orangutans and other wildlife, and he shared a lot of great information about the jungle. I went with a group and he was very attentive with the guests and everyone's different needs and comfort levels with the hiking. Dika, Dedek, and the rest of the family were so friendly and happy to answer any questions or help with anything, and make an amazing breakfast which is included. Andi arranged a car to and from the airport. Wifi was functional most of the time, which was helpful because I spent a lot of time working remotely in the restaurant. Bed in my room was very firm and comfortable, which is important to note because some different guesthouses where I've stayed have had very squishy, sinking beds. Bathroom has good showerhead water pressure, a western style toilet, and bidet. They provide toilet paper if needed. Towels also provided. Screens on windows prevent mosquitos from getting inside, and there is a fan inside the room for when it gets hot. Overall, a beautiful place to stay and a family business that makes you feel like family. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous 6 night stay with Obiwan and his fabulous team. Such a special experience for me returning to Bukit Lawang after 27 years. First day we sat on our Indra Valley river view room balcony and watched two orangutang in trees on the other side of the river. We were treated again a few days later with two more orangutang providing us with balcony entertainment. Being located further up the river, at Indra Valley you have the advantage of a jungle outlook from the hotel directly over the river. We did the overnight jungle tour, family of 4 with 13 and 16 year old kids which was a fabulous experience and included seeing more orangutang, many monkeys, a magnificently cooked meal that night and the tube down the river the next day. At the guest house, all units include a private bathroom with a bidet. Central located, in walking distance to the center, with the big fruit market and a nice viewpoint up the hill. The owners are very friendly and welcoming people, always available and very helpful in everything you need. Very very comfy bed, clean room and warm shower. I had a very good time here and would highly recommend to choose this guesthouse.

Speaking Catalan, English, Spanish and French, staff are willing to help at the 24-hour front desk. I was very happy with how close it is to that water and the boats are moored right out front. Food was different every meal, a mix of Spanish meals and Indonesian and also some Italian. Paco was super helpful organising our fast ferry over there and back, the staff were legends too. Would recommend anyone to stay here.
