A Unique and Heartwarming Experience, Thanks to Dou and Her Family Staying at this homestay was a truly special experience, and it’s all thanks to our wonderful host, Dou, and her lovely family. From the moment we arrived, Dou welcomed us warmly and took care of us throughout our entire stay. She even guided us on a local tour, recommended excellent places to eat, and brought us to a wonderful massage spot. We were two couples – my husband and I, and our son with his girlfriend. My husband and I stayed in the main house, which includes a dining area, library, and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, there’s a cozy bedroom with air conditioning and a spacious seating area with a balcony overlooking the river. The house is tastefully decorated with delicate aesthetics and great attention to detail. Our son and his girlfriend stayed in a nearby room above the family house. That space is more modern in style, yet just as charming. We stayed for two nights and had a magical early-morning trip to the nearby floating market to watch the sunrise – a truly unforgettable experience. Even after we left, Dou continued to assist us – helping us order special items we had seen at her place and arranging two drivers to take us to our next destination. Dou speaks excellent English and is the heart and soul of this place. She made our stay not only comfortable but genuinely meaningful. The only downside is the noise of boats passing along the river – but surprisingly, we got used to it quickly and it didn’t take away from the experience. A special mention to Dou’s mother, a fantastic cook, who surprised us with a delicious homemade dinner after our trip, and even prepared sandwiches and snacks for us to take when we left – without us asking. If you’re looking for an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience, this is the perfect place.

Everything was perfect. The homestay is completely new. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, very modern. Our room was large and beautiful, we also loved the bathroom. The bed and pillows are incredible, we slept really well. A fully equipped kitchen and lobby are available to guests. You really feel at home. 🥰 The area is quiet and relaxing and just a stone's throw from the Mekong. We went to visit the floating market early in the morning. We stayed here on Christmas Eve and had an unforgettable time all together. A huge thank you to the two sisters who run LA Homestay for their incredible welcome and generosity. We'll never forget you! 🫶🏻

"A Wonderful Experience in the Heart of the Mekong Delta!" I recently spent 2 days and 1 night at Viet Mekong Farmstay, and I couldn’t be happier with my stay. Right from the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the lush greenery, the fresh air, and the warm hospitality of the staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a cozy, rustic feel that made me instantly relax. Each morning, I woke up to the peaceful view of the river and vast rice fields, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere so characteristic of the Mekong Delta. I especially enjoyed the food prepared by the farmstay, from hearty breakfasts with sticky rice and fried eggs to traditional dishes like caramelized fish, “lau mam” (fermented fish hot pot), and fresh local vegetables picked from their own garden. Everything was packed with authentic local flavors that made my stay truly memorable. One of the most delightful parts of my visit was the variety of farm activities. I had a chance to interact with the friendly water buffaloes, which was both unique and fun—you can even help bathe and feed them! Picking lotus and water lilies in the nearby ponds was a peaceful and beautiful experience, allowing me to fully appreciate the local landscape. I also learned to make “bánh dân gian,” traditional Vietnamese folk cakes, which was a wonderful opportunity to explore the local culture in a hands-on way. The staff at Viet Mekong Farmstay were incredibly helpful and enthusiastic, always ready with travel tips and interesting stories about the region. Clean and nice, very confortable stay. We received great help to find the bus for our next stop in this trip in the delta. Nice coffee places within 10 min walk. We surprisingly enjoyed Long Xuyen much more than expected.
