Tremendous stay, prefect location, you can really feel alone in the middle of the desert, and the host- Amar was of great kindness and availability. On top of this the dinner was just great. It was an excellent stay for our family. I cannot recommend it more strongly.

Amazing place in the desert. Very clean. Fantastic room/tent/dome. Super friendly hosts (both brothers) who mingled with the guest during dinner and shared insights on living in the desert.
We did the Dunes Bashing with a beautiful sunset view and the 3 hour desert tour.
Generous portions for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We recommend staying there two (2) nights.

A Truly Authentic and Unforgettable Stay at Koofan Heritage Hotel in Salalah!
I had the pleasure of staying at Koofan Heritage Hotel during my recent trip to Salalah, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of my journey. From the moment I stepped in, I felt immersed in the warmth of Omani culture and heritage. The atmosphere of the hotel is deeply authentic, and it offers a unique sense of peace and comfort that is hard to describe but impossible to forget.
The quality of sleep was exceptional , the room was calm, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the natural surroundings made it feel like I was in a serene oasis away from the modern world. The subtle fragrance of natural materials like clay, Luban, wood, and stone gave the space a grounding and peaceful aroma that made me feel instantly at home. It’s rare to find a place where the building itself tells a story, and at Koofan, every wall, texture, and scent speaks of tradition and harmony with nature.
A special thanks goes to Mr. Chouaib, whose hospitality, professionalism, and genuine kindness made my stay even more memorable. The entire staff was attentive and welcoming, but Mr. Chouaib truly stood out for his story telling with a personal touch and dedication.
Without a doubt, I will reconsider Koofan Heritage Hotel for my next trip to Salalah. If you’re sick from star hotels experiences like myself! Go for it and thank me later!

Loved this hotel! Not only is it a lovely hotel with a large lobby, but the staff were exceptional. Each and every staff we encountered went above and beyond for us, truly making our stay so wonderful. The facilities were also great - varied gym equipment, large pool, great spa.
Apologies as there are so many staff so could not remember all names, but we do want to give a special shout out to Naveen who was an exceptional waiter during our breakfast session, and he was so sweet too!

This is an amazing place in the middle of nature, with really good hiking nearby. Shihab is an amazing host and makes sure you feel the Omani hospitality. He even went so far as to invite me and my mother for lunch with his whole family, giving us the chance to have the really amazing experience homecooked food with his welcoming and amazing family. It was the best way to spend our last day in Oman, I just wish we had more time there! Dinner at the hotel is also amazing - very wide and interesting menu. Do not hesitate to book. You can even swim in the wady, just few meters from the rooms.
