It was a beautiful house, I could see it was newly renovated/built. It was comfortable for the three of us, there were two double beds. There was a lot of food in the kitchen, an unopened instant coffee (sorry, I opened it, even though we brought our own 😅).

A beautiful Scottish house in a charming village, only about 30 minutes by bus from Edinburgh. The location is very quiet – a perfect retreat after a busy day at the Festival, away from the crowds and noise. There’s a good shop and a local pub (drinks only, no food) just a short walk away. The kitchen is well equipped, which makes self-catering easy. The host was very friendly and welcoming.

The lodge was everything we expected and more,we really liked where we were situated we where really close to the Livingston shopping centre which we really enjoyed the shopping experience and how close we where to places we wanted to visit,and also the places for us to eat out which we did quite a few days and night's there wasn't anything the six of us didn't like,our daughter was impressed by how many of the place's we ate at catered for her with her being gluten free and coeliac she had a really full menu to choose from

Breakfast is wonderful, it is served in warm, straight from kitchen, all food are fresh, there is Day Room and kitchen with complete cooking utensils, microwave, fridge, dish washing machine, ironing board, very clean & comfortable. Bed is big & comfy. Bathroom is clean with hot & cold water. The owners are friendly & helpful. Definitely will go back there when I visit Edinburgh again.
