It is an oasis of peace and calm, only 15 minutes by car from the centre of San Sebastian. We had an amazing stay at Gudamendi! The team and staff were outstanding, the rooms spotless, and the location absolutely breathtaking. A quick tip for anyone driving your own car: navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze may often route you through narrow backroads that don’t show up on the standard map view. If you can, switch to satellite mode to spot those side routes in advance. The main roads are perfectly fine, and much more comfortable, especially in rain or on slippery surfaces, while the backroads, though picturesque, can be very tight or tricky for inexperienced drivers. Regardless of the tip, we highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

For us, this was an unusually congenial and welcoming hotel. It has a slightly rustic, but classic, charm and there was nothing impersonal about it, yet everything was well appointed. Both the building and the setting were appealing and memorable. San Sebastian is less than 30 minutes away either by car or public transport, and it is an excellent option for a quiet setting away from the bustle.

Great location - a little bit challenging to find due to pedestrian streets but once there loved the fact that we could walk everywhere. Since there is a parking included in the rental you can really arrive - park and be stress free. Orio is a beautiful village with great views and the apartment charming and great value.

I loved the way they were so thoughtful. 2 dog beds waiting in the room plus other additional thoughtful things. I loved the artificial grass enclosed terrace and so did my two dogs. Really enjoyed the breakfast particularly the egg and sausage which was completely delicious. Blackout blinds were amazing. We all slept late.

Amazingly welcoming hotel for those travelling with dogs. Room was very comfortable (for us and the dog ;-)) and we even had a private enclosed patio area right outside. Hotel is conveniently located just off the motorway, and 5min to a beautiful beach and lovely little town.

Great experience! We were welcomed in the hotel with a smile, our son received a stuffed animal (lovely!) and our dog was very welcome :) the room was nicely decorated (as the rest of the hotel) and we loved the details; our dog got a dog bed, drinking and eating bowls, we could grab a home made sangria and popcorn in the hotel bar. We will definitely come back when traveling from South Spain to the Netherlands. Also, perfectly located next to the motorway. Very convenient for us. Thank you!
