The food at the restaurant was incredibly delicious and homemade. The two staff members were extremely friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even more perfect.

Canadian family of four, needing a break (and fresh air) from Bangkok. We had a wonderful time at the Vala and felt welcomed from the second we arrived. I had sent a text ahead of time indicating that I had to follow a very complicated and strict medical diet due to cancer complications. The minute we arrived to our room, a staff member (P’Jib) from the restaurant came to see us and seek details about the diet. I was told that they would absolutely accommodate and they did, for 3 meals a day during the entire stay. The food was wonderful and I felt welcomed by all staff the entire time. To think that I had almost cancelled the trip because of this strict diet, assuming that the hotel would not want or be able to cater to this added complications. This place is a gem, so is P’Jib (I hope I am spelling her name correctly!) and all the staff at the restaurant, the reception desk and the cleaning crew. My only regret is that I wasn’t able to see P’Jib on our final day there in order to hug her one more time and let her know how much her kindness meant to me, (it was more than about the great food), and that her level of empathy for the difficult health journey I was on had been a breath of fresh air.

They have a very big common area on the ground level as well as on the second floor. Plus they let you rent their bikes for just THB 50 per day. That helped a lot with navigating this small town's attractions because they are a little far away to walk, especially in the heat.

Featuring a terrace, the 3-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Guests can dine in the restaurant or a drink at the bar and free WiFi is available. I loved being surrounded by the wildlife and the tranquility of the setting. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.

The property is 9 km from Kaeng Krachan dam lake. As a nature lover/ photographer, this place was like heaven for me. I easily could have stayed longer. Big thank you to Beckham for the night time tour. He spotted a scorpion, a blue tarantula, an owl, a spotted-legged tree frog, an asian painted frog and a lizard I haven't ID'd yet. It was phenomenal.
