The property was well maintained and managed well from all aspects. The staff was very helpful especially mr. Inbarajah. They also helped us cook our own vegetarian food at a separate place near dining area.

They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

Prachtig hotel midden in het bos. Jij wordt opgehaald door de eigenaar omdat de weg zeeeeerr bumpy is. Elke kamer is in een eigen klein huisje, er waren er een stuk of 5. De eigenaar heeft ons een korte rondleiding gegeven over het terrein met waanzinnig uitblik over de plassen. Het eten was zeer lekker en alles is goed georganiseerd.

Tranquil Wild ligt in Tanamalwila met uitzicht op het zwembad en heeft een restaurant, roomservice, snackbar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. This property was in a beautiful setting! You feel very close to nature, with lots of trees, plants, birds. It is right on a lake. The owner, Anne, the manager, Amal, and each and every staff member were incredibly kind and professional. Our every need was met. We had full board, and the food exceeded our expectations! We were so full! There were lots of choices, but we had Sri Lankan food, it was just delicious! We had Tranquil book us two safaris, and we loved them! We didn’t see leopards, but another group did the same day we went out. We saw plenty of wildlife. A bonus was the fresh, clean pool for a morning or afternoon swim, with chairs to relax in the sun or shade. Thank you, Tranquil, for your hospitality. We’ll be back! We recommend this place and the park nearby, over the busier places.

Sam's Stay Buduruwagala ligt in Wellawaya, op 39 km van Demodara Negenbogen-brug, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, the place was friendly and we had a great time. Great communication between Sam’s place and us before we travelled ensuring all our needs were met when we arrived. They were very helpful and provided us with information and recommendations for things to do in the area. I would recommend and we will be booking again soon. Thank you Sam!

This is one of the best stays. Place is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We booked the cabana with the private pool and facilities of that was extremely satisfying. Special comment should be given on the customer care of the entire staff including the management. They paid attention to every bit of our requests. Food was delicious. We will definitely visit again.

Crystal Water Inn is gelegen in Bibile en biedt gratis WiFi en een tuin met een terras en uitzicht op de rivier. The guesthouse is in such a beautiful location near forest and paddies and mountains, completely at one with nature. Our host, Charlie, as well as his wife and mother were the most kind and friendly hosts. After learning it was our honeymoon they got us a cake and balloons and candles to celebrate which was so thoughtful of them. The food there was wonderful - all home cooked with homegrown ingredients (you can see where they grow their cinnamon, pepper, vegetables, rice and so much more). Charlie also was an excellent tour guide as well, taking us to a water safari in Gal Oya, and up the nearby mountain (that was so stunning, you definitely should go. There are rice paddies, tea plantations and the most beautiful views in the region). He also took us to a nearby waterfall with natural pools that was stunning, and we were the only ones there. There are so many more things to do, we wished that we could have stayed longer, and would really like to come back. It's such an underrated region but will recommend to everybody to visit. The room itself was lovely and spacious with a separate living area and even a kitchen if we wanted to use it. We also loved the little treehouse to sit and enjoy the view and take in all the sounds of the nature around. Oh, and usually we would expect mosquitos when staying somewhere so rural but there were no mosquitoes at ALL. Neither of us wore repellent and we didn't get a single bite... That is unheard of for us. We recommend this place so highly - stay!
