I am definitely coming back next vacation.

The family who runs this hotel is really adorable and they will make sure that everything is fine for you, they will help you if you need anything and they serve really good breakfast. You have the choice between English Breakfast and Sri Lankan breakfast, as we stayed for a week we could enjoy the both of them and we always loved it. The room is clean, there is still no hot water but it is not really cold so you still can enjoy a shower especially after a warm day at the beach, which is only at 2min by walk ! There is also a lot of restaurants near the place, and they can arrange you a tuktuk or a taxi if you need to go farther. I will recommend this place without any hesitation, it's really a good value.

The restaurant provided many options for both local and Mediterranean food (for those not comfortable with spicy meals 😁). Great place to spend time in Sri Lanka and relax!

La Perla Bentota provided an excellent stay. The surroundings are beautiful, and the pool is perfect for relaxing. The location is also very close to the beach, which is a great plus. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The staff, especially Nelson and the entire team, were friendly and incredibly helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend La Perla Bentota.

From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the attention and courtesy we received from the staff was simply amazing. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to our needs was refreshing to see. One example was the initiative taken by the chef to bake a "rice flour bread" when informed that one of our guests gluten intolerant. Special mention of Lalith, Sahas and Tharanga for their excellent customer service.

The property is located a few steps from Lunuganga, 5 km from Bentota Lake and 5.5 km from Bentota Railway Station. The hotel also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. I cannot write an objective review for the place since from me this was like a pilgrimage because I am just a huge fan of Geoffrey Bawa. Just being there was a dream come true! The staff is exceptional, very thoughtful and well mannered. The small touches like the happy hour where they serve home infused gin and tonic ( Bawa’s favourite) by the Lunuganga is an experience in itself. The sense was of history , his whimsical sense of design , his attention to detail is a learning in itself.. What a legacy !
