Gateway Lodge, a property with a shared lounge, is located in Speke, 5.3 km from 20 Forthlin Road, 6.3 km from Mendips John Lennon Home, as well as 8.3 km from Sefton Park. This 3-star guest house offers full-day security and luggage storage space. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The location was very good. Just right to reach the airport (10-15 min of walking). I did not have breakfast but there were tea/coffee facilities in the room.

All double rooms have baths with showers. Location just off from the lovely Crosby Beach. Room was in front of hotel overlooking waterfront. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Character of hotel and ease to move around. Breakfast was exceptional, well done Chef 👍

The 4-star apartments have modern interiors and Wi-Fi access. The staff were extremely helpful and very professional. Reece and the Cove team were very friendly and anything we questioned or requested was answered and addressed appropriately. The location is fantastic! There is an onsite car park which the entrance is located at the rear of the building on Gradwell Street L1 4JH. The main entrance is on Duke Street L1 5AP. (Please note Google maps will take you to the rear of the building on Gradwell Street) The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance – both the bus station (5 minutes on foot at a relaxed pace) and the train station (10 minutes on foot at a relaxed pace). A bus that goes directly to the airport stops just 20 meters from the hotel entrance. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, yet there are still functioning clubs, bars, restaurants, and convenience stores open all night. The room is great, and the kitchen is well-equipped with all necessary utensils. A tip for travelers: check which adapters you’re bringing for charging your devices. We had to find alternative solutions because our adapters didn’t fit the sockets.

This stylish 4-star boutique hotel has a 6th-floor gym and a relaxed restaurant with chic surroundings. The Vincent Hotel is on Southport's main shopping street, 100 metres from Southport Rail Station. When I arrived, I was informed I had been selected as 'guest of the day' and I received an upgraded room (junior suite). The room was amazing, had everything you could want and more, there was even a little plate of chocolates and forest fruits with a nice note from the hotel on the desk. Even things like the fact that there was shampoo, body wash and conditioner in the shower, and hand wash and cream at the sink, the tea and coffeee facilities and cold water in the fridge. There are also lots of nice touches around the hotel and restaurant, e.g. a sign that unattended children would be given an esspresso and a kitten...just lots of things that make you smile and make it feel different from a standard hotel.
