I selected Ferney as it was the closest hotel available to the airport and the nature reserve looked beautiful. I was unfortunately only able to stay for one night and arrived very late so was not able to do any of the walks or activities although the looked very nice. Ferney was helpful in arranging a driver to collect me from the reception in a 4x4 to take me to the lodge at 9:30pm as my flight came in late. They served me the full dinner and spared no details which was well received. Dinner was smoked marlin starter, amazing venison steak with mashed potatoes, veg and salad with brownie and coconut ice-cream. The bed was very comfortable, air conditioning appreciated, and there was absolute silence because of the remote nature of the property. Breakfast had a lovely spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese, jams and toast. You get an individual basket of two freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate. Eggs of your choice were made to order. In my tiny time there, without venturing at all, I saw manycbirds, a rabbit and a mongoose. All staff were very pleasant, friendly, and went the extra mile. It is not the typical Mauritian beach holiday but a nevertheless wonderful, nature-filled experience.

We loved our family stay at Mermaid Cove Garden! The apartment is compact but has everything we needed, and the decor is beautifully done. The large pool was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is ideal for discovering the southeast of the island, and it’s only a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Blue Bay beach. Our host Stephane was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

An amazing place to stay. Wish we could have stayed a week or more. The garden is an oasis and surrounds the terrace and rooms making it so relaxing. I stayed at Almiste Villa Mare dʼAlbert for four nights with my wife and my 6 month old baby, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The villa was perfect for a couple traveling with a baby, thoughtfully laid out, comfortable, and very well suited to our needs. One of the standout aspects was the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality from the hosts. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. From helpful tips to little thoughtful touches, their genuine care really made a difference in our stay. The villa itself was clean, modern, and well maintained, with all the amenities we needed readily available. The comfort level was excellent, from the bed to the overall layout, everything felt easy and relaxing. We especially appreciated the covered lean-to area against the guest villa, which allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air even during a bit of rain. The pool also looked beautifully maintained despite us not being able to use it due to the weather. Overall, Almiste Villa Mare dʼAlbert is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in the area. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

Preskil is one of the best resorts/hotels i stayed in in Mauritius. It has amazing views on the ocean, extremely friendly staff and lots of activities that you can do in the hotel to add some fun to your vacation. the restaurants at Preskil are super nice with a huge variety of food and cuisines, with amazing ambiance and diverse programs at night.
