This place is a gem. The rooms are fabulous. Very luxurious feel in the rooms and common areas. Food was delicious with lots of choice. The staff are wonderful, attentive without ever being intrusive. The cleaning is impeccable. We stayed here for our last two days in Sri Lanka and it was a great place to relax and unwind.

LOVELY hosts who are ready to help you whenever you need something. The room is neat and clean and very nice. We stayed here for 7 nights and it was still too short. It is a walking distance to the beach where you can find sunbeds under palm trees and watch the sunset. Also the "beach boys" who rent out those sunbeds and make tours with you are a great crew, we had so much fun with them! Don't worry about the train noise. Yes, it's loud, but it my opinion it just belongs to Bentota and you will get used to it.

This is one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka. The layout of the gardens, between the sea and the lagoon, is magnificent. Geoffrey Bawa chose this spot very carefully and the new wings have been integrated well. Even if there are many guests, you can still retain a certain privacy because the grounds are so extensive. We particularly enjoyed a curated tour by Sanduni de Fonseka who has specialised in the work of the Bawa brothers and the art works on display - by, amongst others, Laki Senanayake and Barbara Sansoni. High-quality food. We have been to this hotel several times, and our overall experience, as always, was excellent.

I rate a 10/10, because you can't put more, Cause it really is one of the few places that I have felt like home. Both Nelson and Alex, have been super attentive at all times, and their hospitality (also of their staff) have been truly charming. I want to highlight two things that we loved, the pool in the middle of the rooms, and above all Mr. Chef, Nelson himself is a spectacular cooker. It is also really appreciated the great attention they have given us at all times. Being away from home and being able to stay in places like this is really satisfying and comforting. If we return to Sri Lanka one day, we will surely stay at La Perla

Sometimes you must be very lucky to find a place like this when searching on-line. Fortunately we were! We were pampered by incredibly nice staff. Our villa, garden around, location close to paradise beach was just a traveler ´s dream. Our villa was furnished and arranged in a local spirit, super clean. Dear Nishanthi and Wasantha. You are the greatest hosts we’ve ever met! All the credit for our amazing holiday must be given to you as it was the first place we stayed during our travel, and the vibe you shared with us didn’t leave us up to the last day in Sri Lanka. Your attitude is incredible. We felt like being at home. The way you met us the first day (with flower garlands which smelled like heaven), the way you treated us during the stay (ready to help with literally anything we needed) - everything breathed love at your house. Your attitude really exceeds all the expectations. To those who are considering a stay at the place, please, don’t hesitate. This is going to be an eye-opening experience to what a 10 out of 10 is. No, this can’t be 10. We would give the hosts 10 times more if it was possible❤️. As for the cleanliness - it was incredibly spotless. This was the cleanest place we had ever visited throughout all our journeys. As for the breakfasts - oh, this was something unbelievable. Everything was so tasty, served so neatly. And the balcony, where our breakfasts were served, overlooks the lovely garden, so you can see some lovely birds, squirrels and enjoy the sounds of them while having your breakfast. They give you a small bag where you can put whatever you haven’t eaten, so you can take it with you to the beach or put it in the fridge (the room facilities are also provided) and eat it later. Another thing, which is worth mentioning, is the fresh flowers arranged around the room and on the balcony. So the place smelled so fresh, so nice. You can really see that they pay great attention to detail. Regarding the beach, it’s a three-minute walk from the house and you are going to be really surprised in a good way as it is not crowded at all and, as a result, very clean. So you can enjoy your time at the beach with no plastic thrown around it. There are also good cafes along the beach with quite affordable prices.

It was easy to find Shana. Host lady told me that she had a problem with electricity and took me to her sister's house called Bimal Villa which was 2 minutes walking distance. So my comments here are for Bimal Villa. Bimal Villa is run by a sweet lady and her daughter. The room was big, light and spotless. Had a a very good working A/C and fan. Ensuite bathroom. Internet worked very well. Location was behind the railways which I thought would be noisy but it was not. Very close to the beach, 2 mins walking. Breakfast served on the balcony and it was very tasty with fresh fruits, fruit juice, eggs, coconut milk rice and tea/coffee. The owner runs a small restaurant closeby the accomodation where locals come and eat. I had lunch there and it was so yummy. Bimal Villa cannot be seen on booking dot com currently due to a technical issue which the daughter was trying to sort out while i was there. Shana Sri Villa's son spoke very good English and he took me to exchane money, to an ayurvedic shop and to a massage place with his tuk tuk free of charge. He also organised my taxi to the airport for a fair price. So, overall I cannot talk much about Shana Sri Villa but only for Bimal Villa. This is a place i would come back to stay longer if I am ever in the region again.

Our best stay so far! The host is so nice (and honest)! He gave us tips and you could ask him for anything (laundry service as well). We got breakfast and dinner (very nice, he's a good cook!). We also did the mangrove tour with him, he give us a fair price (prices online a way overpriced). We payed 7.500LKR and was a nice 2 hour tour. Really recommend this place. Few minutes walk to a really nice and quiet beach.
