Suihoen was the pinnacle of our honeymoon. the staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. They added so many small touches to our stay and the food was absolutely sublime! if we could give them 100/10 we would. it was the absolute highlight of our entire Japan trip and we will definitely be back!

A really charming location, it is 10 stories but never feels overwhelming. Lovely view and garden. Efficient station shuttle. As someone else said, it could be from a Wes Anderson movie or a novel. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast are top notch. Onsen facilities are slightly past their prime but do the job, the open air baths are really special. Room in the annex was huge and had a great private bath. I asked the hotel to recommend a nice hike and they suggested one. Reception was really helpful after I sprained my ankle.

Aki is a very kind and helpful host :) Love the traditional Japanese house . It is so beautiful surrounding the trees and farm . Quick look: The room was really nice and big, the food was great, and the staff was so nice. The outdoor hot spring was my favorite. It was like a slice of nature to enjoy while you soaked. I found the best hours to go were just before 4pm and in the morning after breakfast. There weren't a lot of people then. My room had a great view of the river and when I went to eat, the Kansui restaurant had a fantastic view of the outside garden (which you can also walk around in). I really liked that I could hear the river from my room. I stayed for two nights. The food was different both evenings and both mornings but all delicious. The staff that served it took care of everything like turning on the burners and serving you rice and tea. It really allowed you to focus on eating and enjoying the scenery. It's a lot of food, but all healthy and worth trying, especially if you're new to Japan. I think the staff spoke English too, if you need the English support. All around, it was a really great place. Amazing value and just so peaceful.

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was very close to the station and there was a frequent free shuttle to the station. It was a short walk to the main onsen town as well. There were three hot spring baths at the facility including an open air bath. The room was very spacious. The breakfast buffet had a large mix of western and japanese foods.

Breakfast and Dinner that in included in the room package is excellent。 There was plently of food every meal. It was definitely a eye opener for traditional Japanese food. Both dinner and breakfast was impressive! We had all-you-can-eat buffet for both and dinner included all you can drink certain alcohol. There's something for everyone! Having a choice of yukata design was a nice touch for women while welcome drink/ice cream was great option for kids! The onsen was everything we hoped it would be. Just like the photo shows.....Usually, the bath will become unavailable for cleaning but this hotel allowed guest to use bath extended time. I was able to enjoy bath in the middle of the night as well as early in the morning. The shuttle bus available per requests. We didn't have to wait more than 10 mins for next ride. Everyone in the hotel was so courteous and nice.

Large room. Not so expensive as compared to other surrounding hotels. About five-minute drive to Gero Centre where you can find a few 24 hours convenient stores. With free parking, it's a very convenient place when you've got a car.

It was a nice and spacious compound, with a nice garden overseeing the river and even a foot bath outside for you to enjoy the cool air and soak your feet. The room was big we also had the room overlooking the town of Gero. Very pretty scenery! There was also a large parking available. We had dinner and breakfast and were impressed by both meals too.

Location is easy to access with free parking at a short walking distance away. Nearby has restaurants and Lawsons. I chat with the hotel via the app on enquires on dinner venue, response was fast and easy to understand. There are staff who can speak mandarin which is a bonus! Overall is a small, beautiful, new hotel. Worth recommending

Great location at the top of town. Convenient for town and sightseeing. Parking is great. Staff were very nice and polite. Hotel is quite new and check-in was straight forward. Room was very nice and mostly very clean. Breakfast was collected from reception and eaten in the room which was soup and a couple of other goodies - very pleasant. Tea and coffee facilities were in the corridor and easy to use. There was a lovely little garden you could use if you wanted to.

The outdoor male onsen was incredible. It was raining and I didn’t expect soaking in the rain is so therapeutic. It must have been more wonderful during spring or autumn with the impressive foliage as your view. The overall facility was great and parking space was plenty too.
