Every thing was great, welcoming host, confortable and large rooms in the japanese style, convenient location to easily visit the most important spots in Hakone (Gora, open air museum, cable car to Owakudani, Pola museum, Togendai and the lake, Fuji san view and trails, ...), and above all, amazing food, delicious and very refined Japanes cuisine, both for diner and breakfast. Everything! The hospitality of the owners was probably what makes this place so special. The room was cosy, comfortable, with Netflix on the tv! The private onsen (indoor and outdoor) were the cherry on top! You get free breakfast, free bikes and massage chairs. You can also do your laundry for free. The place is 3min from the lake, the location is beautiful and if I could give more stars, I would!

It feels incredibly authentic. For anyone staying here, I'd just say trust the process, the host is the sweetest little old man who hosts really fun karaoke evenings. It wasn't what we expected going into it but this place gave us some great laughs and memories for life.
