It was central for everything we needed in the area. The room was clean and large, with all the amenities we needed, bath, shower, basic cooking etc. Our hosts were awesome and recommended an amazing private onsen spot. Can’t recommend them enough. Just wish we could have stayed longer. The Kumamoto region is stunning.

It is very nice getting to stay in a traditional Japanese home. The place is very cozy and you can see how Hide-san and Leek-san put a lot of effort into making the place homey and comfortable. I am very thankful for their hospitality, they introduced me to scenic spots near the place. Their cats are lovely housemates too.

Staff were really friendly and go all out to make you feel comfortable. Although the house has a history of 150 years old, there were technology such as sound sustem, projector and even Karaoke over the BBQ dinner. Definitely recommended to have a stay

Food was excellent, and they accommodated for our young children well with a kids one plate meal. Very good customer service with a smile from all staff, they even sourced a sewing kit for me to use to mend something. They provided yukatas, which was a very nice touch. We will definitely recommend to stay here.
