Stayed in villa Olive from 21/06/2024 to 05/07/2024, it has a big terrace with views of the mountains and the lovely pool. Vamos in the western part of Crete feels more authentic than the eastern part were we stayed previously. There are many restaurant's within a short stroll from the villa serving authentic Cretan food. Also beaches are very easy assessable within a 15 to 20 minute drive. We liked the apartment with direct access to the pool. The water was warm and very very clean. We also liked the apartment itself, the beds are confortable, the bathroom is spacious. We liked the options we had for breakfast (not included, 15 eur per person - order whatever and how much you want front their menu). We always found a parking spot even though the hotel was full. The hotel is in a quiet area, with a small supermarket and tavernas near by. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes on foot away from the beach. However since we rented a car we explored a lot so we didn't care that the hotel is not closer to the beach.

We were welcomed by Elena the owner and she had maid the best spinach pie and chocolate cake. The place was at a perfect location right by the beach at the Main Street. The apartment pictures at booking.com and reality did not disappoint us. The terrace from apartment nr 7 had a great view and was our favorite place to sit during the evening. Thanks a lot for the hospitality Elena and we may come back one day in the future 🌸

From arrival and the drive towards the villa you knew you would be in for a treat, what a location and view for the villa! Just stunning sunsets , tranquil and serenity in stylish accommodation. Nikos is most friendly and very thorough on the villa rules. Warm welcome with local treats and some home baked goods on different morning. Always on hand to help with anything, just great communication from host. The villa is only 5-10mins drive to a very lovely beach with a great strip of restaurants with the perfect holiday vibe, also close enough to travel to kissamos to visit the famous beaches, just the most perfect base for Crete.

The owners are lovely and provided us with everything we needed including much fresh food in the fridge and olive oil. The garden is delightful and we enjoyed our meals outside with a view of the countryside. It was great to relax in after a day out. We loved the location as it was an easy walk into town and we had a car park. There is a local bakery and supermarket as well as restaurants. A lovely local village experience and a tourist office. The bus is easy to catch to Chania from the village square.
