Lovely bedroom, big comfortable bed with a firm mattress (unlike many guesthouses where you sleep on a squashy foam mattress in a wooden frame). The house dates back to the 17th century. Brilliant cottage and friendly host. It was extremelly clean (could compete with a very expensive hotel), bed very comfortable and breakfast delivered right to the cottage was delicious. Also found a cheeky piece of chocolate by the bed which made my day after a long trip. Thank you!

The facilities for motorcyclists are superb, with secure parking, cleaning and some maintenance facilities, even little garages for motorcycles for £2/night that might be useful if the weather is bad. Also drying facilities for clothes although I did not need this. The advice on routes will make this a future touring centre for me. The room was comfortable with en-suite bath/shower and tea/coffee facilities. The food was tasty with a good selection at breakfast. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

The hotel was well situated right in the middle of town and there is free parking directly outside. We arrived just after 8pm and the kitchen was about to close but they allowed us to order. The room was very spacious and clean.

A fantastic find, gorgeous cottage in the centre of Moffat. Really thoughtful hosts, lots of little touches and attention to detail. Surprisingly spacious downstairs and up, and right in the town for bars and eating. Great venue for walking, you can literally access country walks within ten minutes of the front door. We also parked right outside for free for the duration, failing that there is free parking within 50m. Totally recommend, property and hosts’ comms were both first class.
